BTEC Level 5 Business Research Project: Gender Discrimination at Tesco

Research Aim
: To examine negative aspect of gender discrimination on
workplace environment. A case study of “Tesco”.

Research Objectives
• To enhance knowledge regarding the concept of gender
discrimination at workplace.
• To examine the negative affect of gender discrimination on
performance of Tesco.
• To analyse various ways for elimination of gender discrimination
at Tesco workplace.

Research Methodology
Methodology section plays an important role for investigator because it
help to collect and gather all information according to decided topic.
With use of different methodologies as well as methods an
investigator complete and manage their research in an organised
manner. Research philosophy, research approach, quantitative as
well as quantitative methods are used by the investigator for
performing all task with more efficiency.

Data Analysis
The term data analysis refers to the process that is used to analyse all
information about the topic. It is also used by managment as this
helps in completing all work according to the analytical technique
because frequency perform an important role to complete task
according to quantitative data. Excel is also used for formulating
graphs to answer research question.

Their are different task performed at the time of performing research in an
organised manner. This is analysed by management to complete their
operations and functions with decided approach of gender discrimination.
Stakeholder findings demonstrates strategy perform an important role to
complete their task with decided approach that define longer perspective
for retaining potential and capable individuals within organisation. This
also aids towards completion of work in an appropriate manner by
managing task according to decided findings.

Recommendations
• To increase in positive work environment- TESCO formulate the
positive work environment in the organisation that enhance positive
work environment for staff to complete their work in an organised
manner. Further, positive work environment minimise gender
discrimination in order to reduce turnover of workforce.
