MAIN BODY
What are the main features of the current crisis/es that this SDG is looking to address?
SDGs is also known as international goals. Sustainable Development Goal 5 is related to
gender equality as well as is fifth of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals which was developed
by the United Nations in year 2015. In respect of official words The SDG 5 is “Achieve gender
equality and empower whole women and girls”. In addition to this, also progress towards goals is
evaluated through indicators. Its key aim is to attain the gender equality through ending overall
kinds of discrimination, violence and any harmful activities against women as well as girls in
public and private regions (Fu, B and et.al., 2019). This also calls for the fuller participation of
women & equal chance for leadership at overall level of economical and political decision
making. So, the main features of the current crisis/es that this SDG is looking to address is
gender inequality in which the pandemic added the burden of unpaid domestic as well as care
work and squeezing women out of labour force. In the current crisis the SDG is looking to end
all discriminations against all women and girls. It wants to ensure full and effective participation
along with equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision making in political,
economic and public life from gender inequality. The gender equality is fundamental human
right which is important for sustainable world.
How have groups in Australia addressed the current crisis/es, and how successful have they
been?
The groups in Australia addressed the current crisis/es that is the pandemic added the burden of
unpaid domestic as well as care work and squeezing women out of labour force. As women
perform 2.6 times much unpaid care as well as domestic work in comparison to men. Whereas
families, societies and economies based upon the work for women, this drives towards lower
earnings and lesser period for engaging into non work activities (Langnel, and et.al., 2021).
Along with equal distribution of economical resources, that is not only appropriate but
accelerates growth into various areas. Also, there needs to be fair balance of accountabilities for
unpaid care work among women and men. In addition to this, The UN women acts to empower
women and girls are trying to enforced across overall their session and advocacy. Also, with all
COVID-19 response plans and each recovery package as well as budgeting of resources required
for addressing the gender impacts of pandemic. it includes women as well as women’s firms in

COVID-19 response planning and decision taking. The other one is transforming the inequalities
of unpaid care work within new inclusive care economy which performs for all. The third one is
developing socio economical plans with intentional concentration upon the lives and upcoming
of women & girls.
What can you personally and professionally do (now, and potentially in the future) to contribute
to addressing this current crisis/es?
As a health care workers, personally and professional that I can do is that try to observe that
not any such things happen near me and if so then I would have to take some action related to
particular situation. In professional manner, within workplace I can talk to management and
board members about it and try to identify the problems why such things are happing. Also, try
to get a relevant solution regarding gender equality issues. Being an nurse it is my personal
responsibility to treat the patients and collages with respect, sidedness, compassion and dignity.
It personally meant to help people in healing, meeting their needs, listening to concerns
(Matthyse, L., 2020). As the professional nurses to take care of patients and bale to trust me by
bring best practices. As professional nurses establishes nursing practice standards, development
of quality assurance procedures and directing of complex nursing care systems. They make the
medical plan and treatment for patient. The Chapter 3 of Laudato si is human roots of ecological
crisis which is an integral ecology that people and planet on earth are part of family in common
home. The people helps in protecting creation for future generations along with take care of
people who are pooer and vulenerable (Mio, and et.al., 2020).
