PART 2
Contemprary statistics and contextual background
Gender inequality exists all around world and it severely affects women and girls. In this
they face domestic and social violence. In this they can face discrimination related to pay,
education and many other aspects are also involved in this. It has been analysed that women are
more likely to experience domestic violence. 3.4% of women suffer from physical and emotional
abuse, in comparison to men with 2.3% in United Kingdom. They also can not live freely and are
emotionally destroyed. In England more women were reported to be victim of violent crime in
comparison to men. There are several benefits which are only being served to men than women.
In United Kingdom access to more pay is being given to men than women. Conditions of so
many women are really miserable. Less opportunities are being provided to women in health
education. They have no knowledge related to early signs and symptoms of diseases. There has
been gender pay gap in median hour pay. The proportion of male is higher in comparison to
women.
Sources to provide supporting evidence
There are various secondary sources which can give evidence related to that women right
and gender issues. These evidences have proved that no equal opportunities are being provided
to women in most part of the country. The difference in incomes between single male and single
female pensioners reflects differences in the component. The income of 33% of men in country
comes up from the sources which are private like pension in comparison to women which are
only 25%. Around 3.4% women have been victim of sexual and psychological abuse which
impacts their wellbeing (Herzke and et.al., 2020). On the contrary the number of males is really
low. Higher positions in country are grabbed more by men in comparison to females. The main
reason behind this is that they are not provided with equal opportunities. Women who are poorer
also face inequities of health; they are not provided with fair access to treatment. There are also
sign of gender pay gap. So many women are not kept on job because of their gender. They feel
like it is not women work to do. It has also been analysed that in England and Wales there are
3.7% of women who have been victim of sexual crimes (Young, 2016). Males are always been
less. It is not safe for women to go out alone as so many crimes happens with them. The median
hourly pay between male and female also have huge difference. Male are being provided with
more salary and also better positions are given to men in company. Better education

opportunities are given to men in comparison to women. All these aspects have lowered down
self-confidence of women. They are not being provided with equal rights and resources to health
education. They have also been victim of sexual crimes more than men (García‐Sánchez,
Oliveira and Martínez‐Ferrero, 2020).
Short reflection on the role
The team was working on the gender issues related to women rights. My role was to
perform activities which was in favour of women. I have developed a team in which we have
come to know about issues and discrimination faced by women in each sector whether it is
education or health. They are not being provided with equal rights and resources to health
education. They have also been victim of sexual crimes more than men. Most of the women lives
in disguised because of this situation. I have also learned about the gender pay gaps in country in
which majority of population is being grabbed by men. I have been working and fighting towards
women right so that better situation can be given to them to live, this will assist in enhancing
their living conditions. There has also been Gap in healthy life expectancy. I have learnt about
they are not being given with equal opportunities to have better treatment. In companies most of
the women are not provided with better and equivalent positions like men. My role was to
increase confidence of women and also their self esteem so that they can work towards
achievement of their goals and set target. My role was to make a survey and analyse about the
issues related to rights faced by women. I have come upon that they are not given with better
educational opportunities and also their pay is less.
