other entertainment and pet products. Further, Asda is having more than 525 stores across
various locations of UK employing thousands of individuals thus, management and leadership
become more vital and crucial for Asda stores ltd. Beside this, proper implication of equality and
reduction of gender gap is also become essential and mandatory for Asda to provide a more
positive and healthy workplace to employees and other individual in order to boost their morale
and satisfaction level for better growth as well as success of organisation.
1.2) Research aim and objectives
The main aim of conducting this research is, “ To have better understanding about gender
equality in leadership and management to lead a positive atmosphere in at workplace”. Thus, the
aim of this research project is to get evaluate about the various reasons that lead to workplace
discrimination and to find out the ways that can be adopted to have better equality and diversity
at the workplace.

The objectives of this research project conducted on Asda stores Ltd are as follows:
