INTRODUCTION
Business ethics are concerned with wrong and right and generally concentrating on what
are the strategies which is best for the investors and stakeholder. On the other side, the social
responsibility is concentrating on the organisation effects on the surroundings and on the
community. Unethical practices and ethics are increasing in which there is one key issue that is
gender gap(Worthy, 2019). Gender gap is the difference among men and women which are
echoic as in political, intellectual, cultural, social attainments and many more. The gender gap
analyse and identify that is the company is doing any unethical practices like differences in
salary on the behalf of genders instead of performance. It is much partial for the gender of
women. This report is going to analysis and conducts the impacts of gender gap with the support
of case study which is given in the brief. In this report, there is Lloyds baking group has been
selected in order to show the impacts of gender gap.

In the company, there are several kinds of ethical issues and problems which are rising in
the company. These problems create several impacts like minimise the efficiency of the workers.
The gender issues or the ethical issues in the community which is occurring and increasing
consistently. Gender gap is the term which shows the difference among the wages or salary of
the men and women. It determine and analyse that the unethical activities in the company are
rising day by day which is create impact on the society and on the morale of the individuality. In
this era. There are various individuals and company that do or perform several unethical
activities which is not good for the society and not for the employees as well. Now each and
every women is concentrating on their future. As they want to become financially in depended,
they want their bright future, But these kinds of thoughts and the activities of the companies in
context of unethical activities create impact on their future and also demotivate them in order to
grow and develop in their lives. The unethical behaviours is not good for any individual as it
create inequality among the people and reduce the respect for each other. These behaviour and
activities also go against the act of equality, 2010. Gender gap is one of the major and critical
ethical issue or problems that must be eliminate by the individuals or by the society because as, it

exploits the emotions and feelings of the individuals towards their quality and confidence.
According to the given case study, it has been analysed and determined that around in 2018,
there were around 250 organisation were needed to represent their data and pay sheet in order to
clear out the gender gaps. The prime minister of UK which is Theresa gave few names which is
burning injustice. It generally or clearly represent that the prime minister of the company is also
against the gender gap.
Role of business in society
Lloyds banking group is the organisation which manage or deals with financial services
in the United Kingdom. The company is very effective and one of the largest financial service
company( Varma, 2019). They have around 30 million and 65k workers in their company. Each
and every company required human resources department in order to operate and perform well
and direct their functions and operations in a very effective and appropriate manner. When in the
company there is no human resources department then its is become much difficult for the
company to dea l an manage the operations. The organisations is using society resources so it is
become their responsibility to behave ethically and appropriately. These kinds of things can be
done by the with the help of ethical practices and activities. From the investigation, it has been
analysed that the company Lloyds baking group is not doing and performing well because in
their company there is gender gap, which makes them ineffective and worst. In the company,
there is more than 30% gap in the company which create impact o9n the employees motivation.
As business activities plays an important role in the company, because as they are the part of
company in context of their failure and their gains. It is much required for the company that they
must perform or behave well with their employees so that they can minimise the bad or negative
impacts from the company and from the society as well. The performance and the behaviours of
the workers is completely relies on the behaviour and culture of the company. As the company
Lloyds banking company pay less salary or wages to female staff as compared to male staff and
these kinds of activities shows that, the organisation is doing unethical activities.

In the Lloyds Baking group, There are several kinds of stakeholder that is consumers,
shareholders, workers, government, communities. All these individuals plays an important and
effective role in the company towards their growth and development and maintain a financial

Baking group the government authority also plays a important role because as they formulate and
imposed new policies and rules because of welfare of the society and company and for the
employees( Lee, 2017). It is much required for the company to act and operate according to the
rules and policies which are made by the government policies because if the company will not
operate according then it creates several issues and challenges for the company towards their
growth and development. According to the evaluation and investigation about the gender gap it
is analysed that, The political authority of the United Kingdom took an actions and activities to
remove or minimise the gender gaps among the society(Constantinescu and Kaptein, 2020)
( Prasetyo and Pratiwi, 2016). Now the shareholders or others investors only invest in the
company, when then review the reports because of several unethical activities and bad image in
the market. These all kinds’ things cater negative impact on the company towards their success
and reputation in the market.
From the above report and explanation it has been analysed and it represent that an
organisation must perform and do their responsibility and activities in order to accomplish their
targeted goals and objectives. It is much required for the company to perform ethical activities in
order to maintain the equality in the company and maintain good culture in the company.

bad ethics and how it create impact on the company and which are mentioned below:
Good ethics: It is much required and mandatory for the company, that they must follow
and adopt the ethical and good ethics in order to perform well and get several opportunities.
These good ethics create good impact on the society, because of good ethics they do not face
any kind of issues and problems. Unilever is the organisation that concentrating on their
sustainable growth and development. For maintain their growth in the market, they use or apply

culture and create lots of pollution in the environment( Edwards, 2019). This is the best example
of amended and effective ethics because as it helps the company to accomplish their
organisational aims and objectives and accomplish their personal goals as well as.
Bad Ethics: In Lloyds Baking group, it is examined or determined that according to the
BBC report, Lloyds Baking group company has more than 30% Gender Gap in the company
which is something very bad. These unethical activities creates inequality among the employees
and also demotivate them and demoralise the female staff. They are required to perform ethical
activities in order to raise their efficiency and productivity in the market.

grow in the market. There are several theories and concepts which should be analysed and
understand by the company to get several directions and path In order to get opportunities. There

mentioned below:
Denotological ethics: These ethics are the group of principles which described that each
individual should be proofed or treated with the good behaviour and dignity. These things can
be analysed and understand with a appropriate and simple explanation is that each and every
individual required a respect and good behaviour from the other members ( Alrgaibat, 2019). In
this theory, it is examined that the company must treat their workers so well and respect their
employees in order to motivate and encourage them towards the work.
Virtue Ethics: Virtue ethics is the term that advert to the utilisation of virtuousness, so
that they can develop or build good connections with the individual. It is much required for the
company that, they should use effective activities and perform well in order to build effective
connections. It is the responsibility of each and every individuals that they must communicate in
effective way which create better impacts on the person and on their emotions and sentiments.

Applicability of the theories is completely relies on the company. In the given case study

because it help the company to make decisions and take direction in that way which

behaviour of the individual in the organisation. Ethical leadership is the concept of leadership

many more. It help the company to boost the the appropriate activities with the utilisation of of
personal action. On the basis of the case study it has been analysed that ethics is very important

improve the culture of the organisation the company are developing and enhancing the ethics
quality in the leaders so that they can get several opportunities and grow in the market. It is also
analysed that the company should perform their activities in that way which maintain the
integrity and the good culture in the environment of the organisation. It is much required for the
person that they should analyse the meaning of the integrity in order to behave in the
organisation and respond to any activities. These kinds of activities are very under tree for the
organisation to maintain them in order to accomplish their objectives and goals for stop as
integrity support the organisation to gain the trust of the consumer's because it bring peace in the
organisation. Does integrity is very important for the company and plays an important role in the
organisation. In order to maintain the gender gap and equality the company are required to treat
their consumers and employees equally so that they can improve the performance and
productivity of the company. Also they can motivate their schemes and employees so that they
can speak with confidently and get more positive outcomes towards the organisation. There are
several kinds of negative impact of the ethical issues which are arising in the company. It is very
required for the organisation and for every employee to inform about the negative effects of the

of activities and create fair and appropriate culture in every organisation. From the above report
analyses that ethical leadership is much important for each in every company and their success in
the market. I analyse that any organisation can accomplish their objectives and goal with the
utilisation of ethical practices( Shen and Benson, 2016). In this case study I learn that the ethical
leadership concept which is performed or operate by the leader that required very special skills
which support them to work effectively and maintain the challenges which is faced by the any
organisation. I also analyse that leaders can perform effectively in the market with the several
activities and use of examples. These all activities of ethical activities and operations in hence
the performance of the employees and overcome the challenges which are arising in the
company. From the above mentioned report I determined that each leader faces several kinds of
challenges and stressed situation in this company so that is why it is much required for them to
maintain and operate the functions and activities on the behalf of the any circumstances and
situations. So for maintaining and manage the activities it is very required for the leaders to
develop the skills in order to achieve their goals and objective. From the above mentioned

company in order to perform effectively and get more positive outcomes. It is much necessary
for the company that they should and they are required to operate their functions and activities
very appropriately without any biasness in order to maintain the ethics in the organisation.

in the company is affected by the activities and the function of the company which is conducted
by them. It is identify the every organisation must behave ethically in the organisation in order to
perform effectively. Ethical practices and activities are very advantages for the organisation in
for the person as well who are associate with the company. It is very required for the
organisation to perform their functions and operations according to the ethical theories that will
help them to increase their capacity and sustainable growth in the organisation. In this report it
has been analysed that the significance of the ethics I am requirement of the ethics are very
helpful and supporter for the company to become much effective in the market and get more
opportunity in order to to grow and develop themselves.
