INTRODUCTION
Diversity and equality is the term used in the UK to elaborate the equality, diversity and
human rights to define the values of society. It signifies about equal opportunities for all people
by behaving and giving the chance harmoniously to attain the potential outcomes and keep free
from all kind of prejudices and discrimination at the work place. E&D helps to organisation in
enhancing the morale and productivity of employees that enables to organisation as well as
individual in gaining higher productivity. Chosen company for this based on the Rowlinson
knitwear which deals in apparel in both formal and schools. This report includes the concept of
equality and diversity by considering the gender pay gap issues or concerns. To conduct the
study on Gender pay gap by build the purpose, aim and objective framed in most appropriate
manner. In addition to the suitable research methodologies to pace towards the definite path with
the motive of achieving the desirable targets as well as goals of company. At last it involved the
recommendations in order to always improve the results and reflection regarding the learning of
an individual in the whole process.

Rowlinson knitwear which is large manufacturer of different types of garments wear that
is suitable for the office as well as corporate wear and personalize for both clubs and schools.
Respective organisation established in the year 1972 and employee owned in the year 2015.
There annual sales is £9,052,000 and the ratio of people working with them are male is 51% and
female are 49%.
Research aim:
The aim of respective research project is “ To evaluate the issues arise due to gender pay
gap and inequality that have a adverse impact upon workplace productivity”.
Research objectives:

 To analyse the influence of gender pay gap upon the performance of employees of

So it is essential for manager of project to create proper as well
as effective strategies as per the given time and funds as well
as they also need to provide proper training to team members
so that they can develop their skills and perform properly. In
context of organisation the major risk is not proper
implementation of the orders.

It is consider as all those resources that are needed by a person
with the motive of complete a specific project or work
(Cerezo-Narváez and et.al., 2019). Moreover in respect of this
project, researcher required numbers of resources such as time,
skilled and experienced team members, funds and many more.
Through all these resources project manager will be able to
implement all research related activities in effective way that
will support them in accomplishing set goal. In context of

Work break down structure:
WBS is a type of project management that provides the visual representation of the
detailed deliverables for a project (Derakhshan, Turner and Mancini, 2019). By representing
key milestones in a hierarchical manner enables to simplify the large projects into smaller parts
and into manageable groups by asking questions, determine needs and breaking down the scope
into small chunks that helps to gain desirable outcomes. WBS tool will be very helpful for
project manager can be able to understand very quickly if estimation will exceed from the
intended budget or deadline.

To conduct the project on the specified subject matter required the project management
plan that designed to guide and control the project activities. The major deliverables of the
project plan is communication, resources, time frame, quality and scope (Irfan, Hassan and

messages should be communicated in hierarchical manner. In building aims and objectives
consist of the time period is 15 days and in collecting information it is 22 days, data collection is
28 days. So the major milestone are collecting information from various respondents and

reliable for which various methods like questionnaires, surveys, observations, experiments etc.
The methods do not require a lot of investment but are very time consuming as the researcher has

to interact with every respondent individually. There are several advantages and disadvantages of
these methods that are described below -
The advantages of primary methods of research are that the data that is collected is first
hand and accurate. Also, there are less chances of the data being wrong because the respondents
themselves respond to the questions. On the other hand, the process consumes a lot of time and is
not always possible to conduct. In respective project the primary method of collecting data
should be used as it is most important and provide authenticate results that helps in decision
making process.
Secondary methods
Secondary data can be defined as the data that is readily available in the form of journals,
books, documents, reports etc. and is more economical to use. Secondary sources of data can
provide interpretations and conclusions that can prove to be valuable for the researcher
(Polonsky and Waller, 2018). Examples of the sources include – diaries, letters, reports, official
statistical data, research analysis, books etc. The advantages of these methods are that they
provide authentic and reliable data which can be used. Also, secondary methods help in saving
time as well as cost that is otherwise involved in collecting the same. Disadvantages of
secondary methods of research can be their non specificity to one's needs.
Quantitative and Qualitative research
Quantitative research can be defined as a research that particularly deals with numbers,
logic and statistics. The main characteristics of the research are that the data that is gathered is
usually collected using various research instruments and the results are based on a large sample
size (Bell and Harrison, 2018). The researcher is aware of the research question and the primary
objectives for conducting the research. Various tools that can be used for conducting a
quantitative research are questionnaires, surveys and observation. On the other hand, a
qualitative research can be defined as the research that addresses questions dealing with non-
numerical data and helps in gaining information about reasons and opinions about a topic. In
respective project the both the qualitative research tool is used that is non numerical method that
helps to understand the social reality of individuals, groups and cultures and exploratory in
natures by seeking 'How' and 'way' a particular phenomenon operates. So it is very much
effective for respective project.
Sampling

Sampling can be defined as the process of selecting a predetermined number of
observations from a large populations. Different kinds of sampling like random or systematic
sampling can be used by the researcher depending on the kind of research that is being
undertaken. Sampling is an important component of a research which can help in avoiding bias
which is also its primary objective. The method used is random sampling, the sample size is 20
respondents and are customers of the respective company. Random sampling is the best way of
selecting the sample form the large population of interest. The major advantage behind using
respective tool that it target large no. of individuals by eliminating bias so for respective project
random sampling is best for them.
