What is gender?
The word gender to the differences in the social and the relationships between males and
females that are learned can be varied among the cultures and the societies that can be changed
over the recent years. The gender does not replace the terminology of sex and refers to the
exclusivity of the differences that are found between biological aspect of man and woman. The
terminology gender cannot be does not only analyses the roles, constraints, needs, opportunities
and responsibilities that are shared by man and woman. The roles of the gender are learned from
the behaviours that are given to the society, groups or community and the other groups of the
society. They tend to condition the activities that include the tasks and the responsibilities that
are perceived as the males and the females (Sen & Mukherjee, 2014). The roles of gender are
very much affected by the race, age, sex, ethnicity, religion and the geographical-political-
economic environments.
However, the role of gender and the importance of the independence of both the gender
are very much essential in the world. Nevertheless, there are various forums that have pitched the
arguments on for and against the implementation of the various dimensions of the policies that
are been used for balancing the role of the gender in the society.
