INTRODUCTION
Visionary leader is a person who have a clear idea about the company that what will
be the future and they work to make their vision into the reality and they lead a team of
people in the direction of their vision.
This report will discuss the Visionary leadership at the Generics Group as per the case
study. It will also analyse that how vision by the founder of Generics Groups professor Edge
and how can be sustained.
MAIN BODY
Is vision is just a Dream or it can be reality
Yes Vision can be just a dream if leaders do not believe that it can be converted
into the reality. Vision always a dream in their first stage but it is an ability of the Visionary
leaders to convert their dream into the reality. To become a successful in the business every
leaders should have the vision for their company so the team who is working under them can
understater that what they have to achieve for their company and leaders provide them a
direction to achieve those goals for the company (Hwang and Black., 2020). Everything is
possible if they are having vision in their life which can lead them toward the success.
Similarly, in a given case also Generics Group leader Edge was having a vision of their
company. Edge does not focus on the people to be creative for the company, but they create the
environment where creativity was the part of it which make them successful in their business.
Without having the visions business cannot be successful or when company start loosing their
vision they cannot grow their business. Generics Group also failed in their business when the
loss their vision and their leader Edge left the business.
Creation of the vision that all stakeholders will share
Creating a vision for the company will take time because leader have to understand
that where hey want to see their company in the future. It is necessary for them to have clear
vision which can be possible, and they can achieve in the future. After making the vision lead
have to make the proper strategies that how they will achieve and how their team can help
them to achieve set goals and set target because leader can not achieve the vision alone so
they will need proper and training team who have ability and skills to achieve goals and
objectives of the company (Guertin, Heard and Del Rosario., 2019). Last stage is introducing
the companies vision to another stakeholders who are important part of the company. Leader

Ways to ensure people throughout the organization understand and are committed to
the vision
Leaders are superior of the company, and they are having skills to encourage people to
work toward their vision. There are some ways which can be helpful for the leader to
convenience people to follow their vision. Clarity of the idea is one of them where leaders
have to make employees understand how they can achieve their goals and make it possible
to convert vision into the reality. Another ways is face to face communication - effective
communication is one of the most important skill in leaders. Leaders can create trust among the
team by communicating with thee employees face to face and also build trust among them by
understanding the problems of the employees. This trust will make them believe on the leader
and their employees will commit to the vision and give their best in their task to achieve set
goals for the company.
Should a vision be attainable or not quite attainable
Yes Vision is attainable if the leaders have the proper strategies and clear idea that
how they will achieve and how they can create opportunity for their company. If they are
having any kind of Drought then it is not because it can not be possible if leader does not
have any clarity and confidence about their Vision that they can achieve It (Zavotsky and
Easter., 2019). Sometimes overconfident can also become the failure of the company and
leader can lost their vision so they should have attainable vision, otherwise they should give
times to make it possible for the company to achieve the target. Similarly, Generics Group was
also having vision for the 40 years, but they were not able to achieve because they lost their
vision in 2001 and their company started suffering from the losses and their leader also left
the Generics Group which was also the reason behind the failure.
How could Generics Group's Vision can be sustained
The vision of the Founder of Generics Group's was clear and their whole team working
to achieve the vision of this group. This vision can be sustained by the other leaders as well
in their business through making the clear vision for their company and creating creative
environment for the employees, so they can develop new skills in themselves, and they can new
the vision is clear with the stakeholders then they will defiantly share and leader should be
confident about their vision.
