E. Scheduling Report for HRIS Plan
The project schedule for the HRIS plan is shown using Gantt chart. The Gantt
chart will help the project manager to show the project tasks planned to complete in
scheduled timeframe. The chart is showing the dependencies of project tasks, such
as one task is dependent on other task. The actual project work against planned time
is used to track progress of project tasks. The project management software like MS
Project is used to create the Gantt chart. The free project management tool is used
to plan as well as manage HRIS implementation. The following Gantt chart shows
the list of the project activities included start and end date and its duration (Guida &
Sacco, 2019). Effective project scheduling is required for successful management of
project time. The project reporting is required to involve and communicate with latest
updates of project with the project stakeholders. It is mainly required in the project for
mitigating and monitoring of overrun of cost and create proper project plan.
The critical path method is used for the project team to recognize project
tasks in HRIS implementation plan. It is provided with high level of the project
timeline along with correlation of project tasks. It helps the project manager to
identify how the project task duration is being modified (Sanghera, 2019). The critical
project tasks are required to ensure that the project can end on scheduled time.
Delay in the critical project activity leads to project delay.
The project schedule constraints are that the project should require to
complete on scheduled time duration of 260 days, otherwise the project team has a
limitation. There is delay in the project activities and delay in project completion time.
The Gantt chart shows the start date of project as 1st Jan, 2019 and end date
is 30th Dec, 2019. The total duration of the project is 260 days.

F. Implications
i. Decisions made
Decisions to make WBS and Gantt chart is taken to predict the project
outcomes based on the project scenario of HRIS upgrade. It ensures optimal project
decisions whether to adopt of project changes. The decisions of WBS dictionary is
taken for making complex project into manageable work. The project work is being
broken down into smaller parts so that the work is allocated to various team
members. WBS assists the project manager to focus on what is required to move
towards deadline of upgrade work. WBS can determine measurable project
outcomes and increase in communication between manager and members
(Meredith, Mantel Jr, J., & Shafer, 2017). The team takes decisions to develop Gantt
chart to define project activities along with effort required for project outcomes. The
chart helps to take project decisions in project centric method.
ii. Decisions affect project execution
Success as well as failure of the project plan is focused on good and bad
project management decisions. Proper scoping of the project along with proper
project planning can help the project manager to reduce project issues. The project
manager should take decisions to determine team members having right skills to
handle complex development work of HRIS upgrade. Determining of skilled team
members is required to handle conflicts as it leads to slow down the project work as
well as effect on project schedule (Guida & Sacco, 2019). Delay in the project
activities cause increase in total number of days. Development of HRIS upgrade
software is a time consuming process, therefore it affects the project execution
phase by increasing completion timeline of plan along with budget over estimated
cost.
iii. Attention of project manager on potential problem areas
WBS, Gantt chart as well as critical path are project management tools used
to determine problem areas of the project. In the planning phase, WBS is used to
overcome potential problems by defining as well as organising required project
activities for HRIS upgrade plan. It helps the project manager to be focused on
developing of project schedule by allocating of effort estimation to WBS. Additional

project meetings are conducted to handle conflicts among team members. In order
to resolve technical issues in the project, proper configuration as well as installation

project scheduled deadlines.
