Karl Marx is widely known among the historians as one of the greatest philosophers,
thinker, historian, political theorist, journalist, economist as well as a social revolutionary
himself. He is widely known for this theories on the concepts of economy, capitalism and the
society as a whole. He had been described as one of the best known sociological theorists in
the world. The basis of Marx’s work in economics have been used in the understanding of the
concept of the labour and the capital and the related economic thought. The essay will be
analysing the ideology of Karl Marx.
The purpose of this essay is to analyse one of the ideologies of Karl Marx and his
theories.
This essay will focus on the importance of The German Ideology Theory of Karl
Marx to understand how the theory applies to his ideologies itself. The German Ideology has
been stated by Karl Marx along with Frederic Engels tries to explain how the concept of
history differs from that of the Feurbachian materialism and also the concept of the Hegelian
idealism and how these are related to each other (Marx,2019). These German philosophers
are of the opinion that the Consciousness and ideology are considered to be reflection of the
material relations, which is also related to the materials of production. This had been
mentioned in the article, that the readers of the ideology must be aware of the concepts of the
trade relations, laboursand other factors which are related to the concept of the economic lifer
itself. This mainly comprises of the explanation of the economic life of the individuals (Marx,
2019).
In addition to this concept, The German Ideology stated by Karl Marx also states to
the readers about the importance of the historical materialism and how such historical
materialism can be understood by the readers of the ideology through the application of the
