Introduction
Project management explains the practice of initiating, planning and executing projects so that it can be
completed on time. In addition to that, projects can be conducted with the help of team members.
Furthermore, project manager heads project management teams so that their needs can be catered.
Effectiveness of project team helps to meet organisational aims and objectives. During initiation, teams
need to be segregated as per efficiency of team members so that project quality deficit can be met.
However, project management teams face challenges while fulfilling project aims and objectives due to
intense market competition. The present study will shed light on the objectives of the project.
Additionally, stakeholders mapping will be presented so that value of stakeholders within project can be
pointed. On the other hand, risk register will also be designed so that challenges faced during project
initiation can be overcome. In the final stage of the study budget calculation will be presented so that
budget constraints can be mitigated in mid project. Lastly, timeline needs to be designed so that project
activities can be conducted as per their value. The aim of the study is to develop gesture-controlled
drone within an organisation.
1. Initiation of project (PID)
Budget of the project
As asserted by Banica et al. (2017), budget calculation plays a crucial role while initiating new
projects within business ventures. Furthermore, budgeting prevents unnecessary cost so that
resources can be allocated corresponding to the needs of the team members. Project manager can
recruit a finance expert while initiating a project so that expenditure of project can be minimised.
Brhel et al. (2015) has mentioned that project team members along with project manager need to
prepare budget well in advance so that they can seek financial aid from banking institutions.

Approaches
At the time of launching gesture, driven drone within an organisation project team needs to follow
appropriate techniques so that the project can be concluded in a systematic manner. For example, in this
study, PRINCE 2 methodology has been included because it divides tasks into several subtasks so that
project can be initiated in a simpler manner. However, before initiating prince 2 methodology, the project
manager can arrange a training session so that team members can gain knowledge about its concept. After

conducting the training session, brainstorming will be initiated so that team members will get a scope to

indulged in order to discuss the reliability of the drone. Further, platform will be designed so that drone
can be implemented systematically. In a further stage, documentation will be done in order to innovate
new designs of the drone. After documentation process, a testing period will be initiated so that
challenges and benefits of the drone can be pointed. Testing process will help to accumulate feedback of
the users so that further improvement can be indulged within the system. Through testing technical
glitches of drone will be mitigated. The drone can be accessed through gestures and postures of the team
members and other employees. Finally, the project manager will recruit maintenance team to maintain the

can be monitored. The authority of team members is less as compared to end users because they
have the right to discuss success rate of projects. The satisfaction level of end-users determines
utility of the project (Elbanna and Sarker, 2015). Thus, it can be stated that supremacy of end

users are directly proportional to the success rate of projects. On the other hand, team member
can change the components of projects in order to boost its competitive position. At the time of
initiating the project, investors also play a crucial role because they invest in the project. In this
case, the management of the venture need to maintain cordial relation with internal and external
stakeholders because they influence the outcome of the project.

In the present section of the study, the role of project manager has been discovered. Further, it
has been noted that project manager need to look after the issues and recruitment of team
members so that coordination among the team can be boosted. In this section, the importance of
leadership within the team will be focused. Further, various project management methodologies
will be observed by presenting their differences. The methodologies that can be used are Prince
2, Waterfall and Agile.

A successful project manager needs to initiate effective project plans so that its competitive
position in the market can be boosted. In addition to that, effective project managers need to
explain the objective of the project to team members. Before initiating the project the project
manager, need to form a proposal and get it approved by the project manager. After the higher
authorities approve the concept of project, responsibilities need to be divided as per skills of
team members. Furthermore, after task allocation, project management has the responsibility of
launching meetings in order to gain knowledge regarding the progress of the project.
