Airline Ticket Booking: Getaways Travels Reservation System Design

This project details the development of Getaways Travels, an airline ticket booking system designed to streamline flight booking and related services. The system provides flight search, hotel and cab booking, and food order facilities, aiming for user-friendliness and efficiency. Key functionalities include checking flight schedules, booking flights and hotels, and arranging cab services. The system boasts advantages such as 24/7 availability, hassle-free booking, and price comparison. The Agile SDLC model was used, with iterations in planning, analysis, design, coding, and testing. The back-end is designed using MS Access, including reservation management, flight status updates, and payment processing. Diagrams like DFD, ERD, use case, and flow charts are included to explain the system's workflow, and a risk assessment is also provided. The project concludes that Getaways Travels offers a comprehensive solution for online flight bookings.

Introduction
This presentation developed a new system for airline ticket booking
named as Getaways Travels that deals with flight booking making
peoples migration easier by providing better facilities in minimal time.
It even provide flight search facilities making it user-friendly to search
flights. In addition to that hotel and cab booking facilities are provided
along with food order facilities. The presentation below explains the
entire system and its working.

Project Objective
• The project objective is to develop and design a software that
will automate majorly all operations of airline system.
• The project provide following functionality to customers:

– Cab and Food booking

• Check Flight Schedules: It allows user to check the availability of flights
along with details of its schedules.
• Book Flights: It allows user to book the desired flight.
• Hotel Booking: It allows user to book hotel for their stay.
• Cab Booking: It enables user to book their ride from the airport.
• Food Booking: It enables user to book food of choice.
• User-Friendly system: It creates a system that is user-friendly.
• Flight status: It allows user to check the status of the flight, regarding its
departure and arrival.

• Work 24/7: This system works 24/7 allowing customers to book flights anytime.
• Hassle-Free Booking: Customer doesn't requires to stand in long queues.
• Convenience: Allow customers to book their flights online just by sitting at home.

and book more feasible one.
• Change and cancelations: It allow user to change or cancel their bookings.
• Customer Reviews: It also provides user with several feedback on facilities and
customer reviews for better judgement.
• Apply Discounts: It applies several discounts on flight bookings .
