This model can be describe as critical thinking model and its includes various stages that
will support in determine the topic in clear and appropriate form. In Plymouth model different
questions has been asked in order to analyse and evaluate each and every aspect in correct and
accurate manner (O'Shea and et.al., 2017). Plymouth model for addressing the topic “You want
to go on a holiday” is mention below in detail.
1. Does the model clearly address the topic or issue?
Yes, this is effective model that will lead to address the topic very clearly. The topic is
“You want to go on a holiday” and there are various aspects that is related to this topic which
will support in addressing this topic correctly. Plymouth model will lead to assist in answering
different question such as what, where, who, when how, why and many more. By answering
these question the topic will be address properly. Through this information about the holiday
location and who will be going to the holiday as well as when person is going to holiday as well
as why and many other questions will be address properly.
2. Is the model readable, understandable with clear layout?
Yes this model is readable, understandable with its clear layout. The Plymouth model is
classified into three parts such as description, analysis and evaluation. All of these are well
structured as well as support in answer the question in clear and accurate manner. This support in
as person to clearly understand this model and gain more information about the topic. Through
Plymouth model information description about the model as well as other possible situation

all aspects can be determine correctly and better understanding can be gained.

Gibbs model was developed in year 198 and founder of this model is Graham Gibbs. He
published this model the books called “Learning by Doing”. This is an effective model as it
encourage people to think and understand in systematic manner by evaluating their experience of
a particular situation. This is an effective model that assist as person to gain more knowledge and
enhance their learning by doing thinks is particular manner as well as accomplishing desired
objective. I have considered Gibbs model to analyse and evaluate my learning about the
experiences so far as well as increase my skills and capabilities (Olowookere and et.al., 2015).
This model includes various steps which will assist in gaining more information and details
about the particular topic and increase learning by evaluating personal experiences. Different
steps of Gibbs model in explain below in detail in order to gain learning form my experience so
far.
Step 1 – Description
This is the first step of action plan and this will support in determine the description of
the particular situation. This will includes various steps and action which will support in
determining what has happened about the situation as well as when did it happen. In this first
step of Gibbs model will support in determining the description of experience of the university
so far. I have enrolled in university for my future studies and my motive is to increase my

education as well as skills. This is 2 years course and in my experience of completing one year in
this university I have to gain various information and as well as focused on developing new skills
or capabilities to conduct organisational task in more effective and efficient manner. I have made
many friends and attended classed for gaining academic information. This information will help
me in performing business task and activities more correctly. In University I have take part in
various group project and task which lead to enhance my University experience. I have develop
friends that are supportive to me in taking important decision as well as help in enhancing my
University experience. In the university I was involved in various activities that are supportive in
increasing my learning’s and assist in developing different types of skills and capability.
Step 2 – Feelings
This is the phase which will support in determining my actual feeling regarding the
situation or events. When I was enrolled for the University I was very excited for my new
experiences. At my first day at University I was very nervous and do not have any friend who
could help me. It is very difficult for me to make new friends and get along with other very
easily. I was feeling very nervous and worried to talk to other people. I meet with my class
member and teacher which help me in being more comfortable in class as well as take new
friends. In starting, I feel very shy or hesitated to particulate in any new task or event. After some
time I have made many friends and talk to other students of the University. This lead to increase
my confidence as well as communicate skills (Humanante-Ramos, García-Peñalvo and Conde-
González, 2015.). Through the experience of University now I feel very confidence to take
particulate in new event and meet new people. Now it is very easy for me to meet new people
and make new friends. My communicate skills has been improves which helps me in feeling
more confidence while conveying my message to other. My university experience is full of
emotions and I have felt different feeling as per the situation. Feelings while university
experience includes joy, happy, confidante and many more.
Step 3 – Evaluation
This step of includes that evaluation of overall experience of University. Through this
evaluation stage I will be able to determine and identify different types of event or situation
during my experience of University. It is crucial to determine and evaluate all good and bas type
of events. This will help me in determining which approach work well and which does not. In
the university there are many event and activities that happen. These events are very effective in

developing person capability and increase several skills. In my university experience so far I
have attended many classes and take less participate in University events. By attending more
classes I was able to gain more academic knowledge and information. This is good as it help me
in gaining better grade in University course as well as develop my academic skills. Attending
more classes lead to enhance my relationship with teacher and increase reputation in the
University. Through the evaluation of university experience so far I have determined that this
experience will lead to have positive impact on my career as well as professional growth. The
bad about my University experience is the I have take less participate in extra curricular
activities or University events. My less focus towards the extra activities or event in University is
bad. I have evaluated that by participating in these events I can increase my various skills as well
as enhance University experiences.
Step 3 – Analysis
In this step I was analyse different aspects of events as well as its impact in my skills and
capabilities. It is essential to analyse the learning for the situation or events. By analysing my
University experience so far I will be able to determine different aspects that I should repeat in
future as well as those I should not follow. This will help in enhancing my overall University
experience in future as well as increase my capability to conduct required set of task in more
effective and efficient manner (Caruth, 2016). Through my university experience I have learn
about the importance of academic learning and other skills. There are some skills of individual
that is develop by classroom studies or academic knowledge. This includes information
regarding researcher skill, presentation capabilities, writing skills, report writing and many more.
These skill will be assist me in increasing my employability skills as well as conducting business
activities in more effective manner. Where are there are some skills I can develop by more
participation in extra curricular activities or University events. These skills will be helpful in
developing my leadership skills, management skills, confidence, communication skills, time
management capabilities and many more. I have analysed that all of these skills are very
significant in developing my potential to conduct required task in more better and effective
manner. While analysing my university experience I am able to determine what was my mistake
and what should I do in order to increase my learning or enhancing experience.

In this phase of Gibbs model I will be able to determine different aspects and activities
which has been achieved so far. By conclusion of different element of the University experience
I will be able to identify the distance of learning as well as the situation. From the overall
conclusion of my university experience I have determined that by attending more university
classes my skill and academic knowledge is very strong. This knowledge and understanding will
help me in performing organisational task and activities in more effective and efficient manner.
It has been determined knowledge gained through University classes such as research skills,

This will support in correct decision making as well as enhancing my performance in university.
My less attention towards participation in university events will lead affect different skills such

member. These skill are very important while working in organisation as well as help in
developing strong relationship with other people. Due to this I am lacking in time management
skills as I was not able to properly manage my time in University so that I can take part in events
with out missing classes or lectures.
Step 6 – Action plan
Action plan is the last phase of this model and in this step I will develop an effective plan
that will lead to increase my skills as well as enhance university experience. Action plan will
includes different details and activities which will lead to increase my capability and
understanding to perform required set of task in better manner (Vazquez and et.al., 2015).
Action plan for enhancing remaining university experience includes developing skills that is
lacking as well as creating new skills that will lead to develop more potential. In this I have
determine that by developing time management skill I will be able to manage by university
lectures as well as take more participate in University events. In action plan I have develop
objective of more participation in extra curricular activities as well as develop new skills and
competencies. I will manage and lead different events of University in remaining time of
university so that I can enhance my leadership and university experiences.

1. Is there a clear goal or objective of the plan?
Yes there is a clear objective and goals of this plan. Smart objective of this plan includes
to develop time management skills in 3 months for conducting university activities on time. This
is clear objective of the plan and it will support in providing guidance to student what they need
to do as well as how they should conduct activities. The objective is develop by being realistic
and flexible to accomplish desired goals.
2. Did the plan identify how the goals/objectives will be achieved?
Yes this plan identifies how the goals will be achieves. In order to accomplish set goals,
university student needs to develop or create a schedule for day that will include each and every
activities that needs to be performed in effective manner. In this student has to be very focused
towards their activates or accomplishment of goals.
3. Has the plan identified what it would require in order to achieve the goal/objectives?
Yes this plan has identified that university students needs to develop time management
skills in order to achieve set goals (Falconer and Taylor, 2017). Student needs to learn to
classify important and urgent task of university as this will help in determine which activities
needs to be completed first. By managing time in correct or accurate manner I will be able to
prepare better for my rest part of undergraduate study.
4. What resources will be needed to achieve the goals/Objectives?
There are very less resource required in order to develop time management skills. I needs
to create monthly as well as daily activities and write it down on a paper or notebook. Form this
pen, notebook or paper is required as the resources. These will help in recording the time that is
required by individual as well as ways through which person can manage their activities.

Yes, three months time period will be sufficient for achieving desired goals. Plan and its
activities is different into proper frame work of time so its will be easy to complete set of
activities and accomplish desired goals.

It is important to evaluate the progress of the plan in order to take correct steps in future.
I have analysed that for last one month I am able to follow developed schedule as well as
management all activities on time.
7. What would you use to judge that your goals/objectives have been accomplished?
I would judge that my desired goals and objective has been accomplished in desired frame
work of time. In this I have analysed that I able to give time to extra activities after finishing
university assessment or task. This is due to development of time management skills.
