INTRODUCTION
Learning is a process that involves a change in knowledge and behaviour of individuals
on the basis of different activities (Husebø, O'Regan and Nestel, 2015). Each and every
individual have their own learning skills and style that assist them in their self-development.
Learning might be the result of reflection, experience, imitation, trial, error and so on. For
students and adults, learning contains instruction method in which they work individually at their
own level of development or for employees, learning is based on continuous profession
development in which developments is relay on organisational requirement and need.
MAIN BODY
Gibbs reflective cycle is basically encouraging people to think systematically about their
own experience that they had during a particular situation (Smith and Roberts, 2015). My
reflection on learning on the basis of Gibbs model is described below:
Description: I analysed learning as individual's abilities to acquire skills and knowledge
required by themselves. According to me, each and every individual learn things differently and
select alternative methods for this. I observed that learning practices are based on analysis
approach of individual's own skills that they want to improve by implementing different
methods.
Feelings: My opinions towards adult learning is based on their own learner's own specific
need and interest towards improvement. For this, they set learning objectives and design
sequential activities to achieve them properly. For such, I analysed that teacher and learner needs
to work collaboratively in order to select specific method, material, resources for effective
development.
Evaluation: Analysis of learning practices provides me a good experience in order to
identifying individual's interest towards their own development. Most interesting fact that I
observed in such practices are the identification of improvement areas after monitoring of own
abilities and development needs. After this, supporter who could be a teacher or someone else
suggests a better option or path to individuals for their desired improvements.
Analysis: As per my views, improvement is a required need for the development of own
skills and abilities to attain desired success in future. Thus, individuals who could be an adult

learner or an employee needs to work on monitoring practices in order to analyse area of
improvement for a specific skill on timely basis.
Conclusion: On the basis of my own experience I reached on a conclusion is that self-
learning is a required part of individual's life through which they can increase knowledge,
abilities, skills for the betterment of future. Professional development is part is a required need of
an individual and organisation as well for the attainment of desired goals and objectives.
Action plan: If I would be a learner then my action plan towards own development will
be initialise from the stage of self-analysis through which I can identify major areas of
improvement. I will not be committed only to the acquisition of skills and knowledge, but also to
the deep understanding that needed for my overall development.
CONCLUSION
As per the report it has been identified that learner needs to be encouraged and supported
by a specific individual throughout the effective process, by helping them or by recognized them
by analysing specific area of their improvement.
