INTRODUCTION
A professional discussion is basically a planned, insight and deep two way conversation
among an assessor and learners (Simpson and et. al., 2019). Thus, professional discussion
provides an effective way to assess and gain complex understanding and knowledge through an
holistic assessment method. In this assignment, use of Gibbs reflective model is made to
systematically think about the various experience that are encountered during a specific situation
or event.
Main Body
During a group presentation exercises use of various employability skills are made by an
individuals to accomplish and timely achieve the desired goals and targets (Adams, 2019). Thus,
use of Gibbs reflective cycle model is made to provide a reflection on various employability
skills based in the experience of group presentation exercise conducted on Samsung company.
Gibbs Reflective cycle model
This model provides a reflection about the experience of an individuals through leading
to different stages in order to make better sense of experiencing through developing an
understanding of what things and skills did well and what things could be done in more better
way in future to achieve desired experience and performance in future (Meissner and Shmatko,
2019). A description of all the stages of Gibbs reflective cycle model are provided below to have
better evaluation and reflection of various employability skills on the basis of experience gained
from the group presentation exercise:
Description- This is the first element of Gibbs model that provide information about what
actually happened and explain the situation in detail. In this module, a description about
experience gained during a group presentation is reflected. A group presentation was held on
Samsung company in which various individuals had taken part. All the individuals are bifurcated
in various small group in order to conduct research on specific topics which involve use of
various employability skills. After that, the participants and various group are needed to present a
group presentation on their experience. During this, group presentation, Me and my group
members had decided to properly divide the various sections of presentations and research
among ourselves in order to meet expected performance and complete the work before the
deadline.

Feelings- During this situation and group presentation I had experienced a lot of feelings
that have signifiant impact on my experience. At the time of starting of this presentation I was
quite happy and thoughtful regarding my smart planning. I was certain and feeling enthusiastic
about my work and ability to perform assigned task in effective way. This feeling of enthusiasm
and motivation helped me to work harder. But a feeling of fear was also their regarding best and
effective use of my skills and capabilities in order to accomplish the presentation and research in
a faster and effective manner.
Evaluation- During the presentation my communication and verbal skills worked well as
it is most important part of a group discussion and presentation. My convincing and interesting
verbal skills with maintenance of proper speed and emotions together with clarity in message and
conciseness had made our presentation more attractive and efficient. Beside this, my information
and communication technology (ICT) skills are also worked well and use of a range of computer
programmes, application and software was made by me and my group members in order to make
our presentation more interactive and knowledgeable to provide all relevant and required
information in an effective way. Further, my research skills also enabled me to collect and gather
all the needed information for the group presentations and a lot of information about the
Samsung company was also evaluated by me in order to accomplish this research. Thus, my
employability skills provide a great support for having a good group presentations, but my team
work and organisational time management skills was not went so well and had faced many issues
in maintaining balance with group members. A lot of chaos and confusion are also faced during
this group presentations because of inefficiency of my teamwork skills and time management.
Analysis- On the basis of my experience during this group presentations it can be
analysed that my smart planning and approach of bifurcation of work worked really well and the
efficient communication skills also supported my work and performance. Further, because of
lack in my teamwork skills and time management many issues are faced by me. Use of various
references and evidence from module content are also made by me to ensure presentation of all
authentic and valid information to enhance the viability of presentation. Further, use of
evaluation of various literature work and group think is also made by me in order to raise
different opinion so that best possible way can be adopted to have better decision making.
Conclusion- I have learned that bifurcation of work among group members is a good
approach to accomplish work in more efficient way. Beside this, it is also concluded that

effective communication and ICT skills facilitates a better presentation through proper use of
verbal and computer techniques in order to make a group presentations more interesting and
attractive. The lack of teamwork skills and time management skills lead to various issues
associated with chaos and delays in work thus, use of some better technologies and strategies like
Belbin team roles and Gantt chart can be made to improve over all performance of group.
Action plan- The strategies and employability skills that can be used by me in future time
to improve the group presentations and my performance includes more effective use of my
employability skills. Efforts will be made by me to get better understanding about strengths and
capabilities of my group members so that work can be more efficiently bifurcated among them to
remove the chances of chaos and confusion. Further, use of various project management plan
like Gantt chart will also be made by me to have improvement in my organisational and time
management skills to remove the situation of delays in work. Further, to have efficiency and
improvement in my teamwork skills use of Belbin team role model can also be made by me.
CONCLUSION
On the basis of above reflective report it can be concluded that my communication, ITC
and searches skills are my key personal strengths where as team work skills and time
management together with organisational skills are the areas where further development is
needed.
