TASK 2
Reflection
The reflective writing basically involves analysis of the entire exercise that an individual has had
and identify what were the critical learning from such experience. The reflective essay is
instrumental in developing a comprehensive learning and also developing a suitable action plan
for the future. The Gibbs Reflective model is a comprehensive tool that can be used to develop
reflective learning where the six different stages are evaluated at each level and a comprehensive
learning is developed (Lawrence, Dunn and Weisfeld-Spolter, 2018). The Gibbs reflective model
is the most effective model that can be used for clearly segregating the entire experience from the
beginning to the end addressing each aspect of such analysis. While preparing the presentation of
the leadership styles and skills of Bezos, I can evaluate the entire experience using the Gibbs
reflective model in following manner:
Description: There are I have analysed that, leadership skills of Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos. This
whole analysis about different leadership styles of Mr. Bezos was well which has designed and
descriptive which has covered many areas of own leadership approaches and styles. This
analysis was not only based on theoretical aspects of Mr. Bezos’ leadership style rather his
emphasis on the practical side of the leadership style. In the starting stage of analysis, I tried for
collecting major information of different steps which he has taken in his leadership functions. On
the other side, I have developed favourable guidelines to conduct different actions in order to
brief specifically about the leadership style. At the initial stage I also prepared a specific
schedule that includes all major activities which I need to do in proper order for collecting the
brief information (Nichols, 2016). The brief description within the starting has supported me in
my project for achieving all prime objectives behind the task. Daily feedbacks were a part of the
program as well. Feedbacks help to develop many mistakes and also for making important
changes which can develop significance of the project. Then I have taken feedbacks with zero
hesitation in my mind.
There was analysis informs me that, there are many aspects has included in the
leadership. The practical side of the approach has guided me for understanding practical
implications of leadership over company’s and employees’ performance within the market. I

implications of leadership over company’s and employees’ performance within the market. I

experienced that leadership style of Jeff Bezos is progressive in nature which allows him for
taking regular interaction with employees. There is interactive session with employees has
developed the work culture of Amazon. This experience of analysing leadership style of Jeff
Bezos has allowed me for clearing my many doubts of leadership in Amazon Company. I have
experienced, analysing process can get theoretical brief over various aspects of leadership, but it
takes some time to understand the practical aspect of the leadership. I am able to specify that my
whole experience was completely full of learning and productive. I could develop some of my
skills or abilities, like; communication skills (verbal and written), time and work management
skill, team work skill, problem solving skill and research skill etc. as a part of existing campaign.
Feelings: The full learning experiences are an effective area of my project. There is leadership
style of Mr. Bezos has suggested many approaches and methods for developing lots of skills,
like; communication skill, research skill, problem-solving skill etc. require for achieving
professional expertise (Liao and Chen, 2018). I felt that, approaches and methods uses by
Amazon’s leader was also a major part of the success of this company. In the common case
trainings are highly based on the theoretical learning which also not plays an effective role for
developing employees’ performance. Due to practical approach of the leadership, I have
understood many skills which requires for improving the professional productivities to being an
employee. I felt the productive part of the project was for having sufficient background of the
effective or efficient leadership style.
Evaluation: In the third stage of Gibbs reflective model I have to evaluate that how the things
went overall i.e. what was the good and the bad part, how did I react to the situation and how did
others react as well. I can evidently say that the overall experience in giving the presentation was
a positive one where I learnt many new things and tactics of improving myself. My presentation
skills were very good where I was able to successfully capture the attention of the public and I
was able to present various valid points through my presentation which was the good aspect as
my presentation was even appreciated by the teacher as well (Rubens and et.al., 2018). However,
the only negative aspect was that my research skills and ICT skills are not very well developed
as I took too much time in preparing my time and the efforts that I took were much more and
intrinsic in nature. Due to this, my teammates were also a little upset as they were getting
unnecessarily delayed. This was only negative aspect but otherwise, my overall experience was a
great one where I learnt many things and built up great relationships with my teammates.

Analysis: In the stage of analysis, I will evaluate my overall experience and identify what were
the events that hindered my progress and what were those aspects that led to the fostering of my
progress. I can evidently say that earlier I had learnt theoretically how a presentation is made
where it was shown that images must be relevant content should be less o slides and it should
only be indicative, but actually when I was engaged in the presentation development process, I
was able to recognise that it could also be ascertained that the overall preparation of the
presentation is not a very easy task (Paulson and Laverty, 2018). I could evidently say that the
theoretical knowledge only insists upon the using of indicative content but when the presentation
is lengthy and the topics that are to be covered are few then some more content has to be
included in the presentation. I was also able to recognize that I need to work on my time
management skills more. However I was content to know that I have the talent of giving
presentations in a manner that I am able to attract the attention of the audience completely.
Conclusion: At this stage I am expected to conclude the overall learning that I was able to
develop throughput this presentation and the manner in which I could have done certain things in
a better way. This stage also helps me in ascertaining that what I should do in future to avoid any
mistakes that I made in this experience. I can evidently say that the main thing that I have learnt
from this experience is to engage in smart research and analysis where the research should be
accurate but it should also be correct and relevant (Wales, 2018). I also need to ensure that I
properly manage my time by allocating it adequately on each tasks and then achieving the
objectives of the tasks within the time that has been allotted to me. I can also conclude that even
if my presentation skills are adequately developed, I will try to continuously improve my
expositing talent by working on it regularly and enhancing or learning new techniques that I can
implement at the time of delivery of the presentation. Therefore, I can conclude that overall my
presentation was good but I need to work more on certain skills and their development aspect.
Action Plan: Action plan is effectively the last stage where I must develop a proper sequence
and planning of activities that I intend to undertake in order to improve the overall exoreic next
time when I give the presentation. I can adequately say that I will engage in time management
skills where I will try to develop multi tasking abilities as well and also work on the
improvement of my research skills. I will do this my practicing daily how to quickly collect the
relevant data as soon as possible and complete the research in a timely manner (Tanaka,
Okamoto and Koide, 2018). I can also evidently say that I will work more on the development of

5

presentation skills where I am planning to learn the use of proper hand and eye gestures as well
while giving presentation before the audience. This will help me in further honing my existing
presentation skills; therefore in future I intend to undertake some major actions that can help me
in the achievement of the goals significantly (Pepper, 2020). Hence I can say that I future I have
develop a very comprehensive action plan so that I can work on the improvement of my existing
drawbacks and also work on further perfecting the skills that I already possess thus assisting in
comprehensive development.
Therefore, the Gibbs reflective cycle helps in evidently analysing the overall experience of
giving presentation adequately and also helps in ascertaining that what are the steps that I need to
undertake in order to further improve the process collectively (Sekarwinahyu and et.al., 2019).
The reflection also helps me in analysing what were the good aspects and the bad aspects of the
overall experience that I gained through the giving of presentation.
