PLANNING PROJECT
Runway
Rapid access and exit taxiways may have to be constructed towards the end of the period in
2020 in order to meet the forecasted peak movements of runways (Budd and Ison 2018).
Taxiway
The construction of runways will require the construction of new taxiways in order to enhance
the smooth operation of the aircrafts (glasgowairport.com 2019).
Apron
There will be a number of different kinds of low cost carriers as well as normal carriers that
will be operating from the airport in the near future (Budd and Ison 2018). Therefore the airport
authorities have to construct new Aprons especially for jumbo jets.
