1.1 Project scope
The project work is based on housing project at 6 Parrella Grove, Glendenning. The
scope of this project is to review the blueprints, drawings as well as project related
specifications. The project contractor will supply competent labor, project tools, equipments and
services, testing devices and the items required for expense are design, supply, field installation,
design and quality assurance.
1.2 Nature and size
Based on the nature and size of the housing project, there are two roles which are
summarized in the project such as:
Leader: The project manager plays a key role in making bigger decisions related to
construction work and provides direction to the team members when they are facing problems on
the work site and then reports to board of directors (Buvik and Rolfsen 2015). They prepare plus
negotiate estimation of cost, budget and project timeframe.
Member: The project team is involved to coordinate with the design consultants and
architects to make sure that everything is working properly as per the project plan (Meng and
Boyd 2017). As a member, the project manager reports on work progress to board of directors
and budget related matters to project clients.

2.1 Flowchart illustrates role of project manager
The project manager takes responsibility of entire aspects related to construction of

engineers on the development work. The role of project manager is to situate the budget and
oversee personnel of the building project. Following are role of project manager in the
construction work such as:
 The project manager supervises construction of the residential structures along with
building of house (Senaratne and Gunawardane 2015).
 They interface with the project clients in addition to update on the project progress, hire
required personnel and manage the regular activities.

The above team structure is hierarchy team structure which places people those are
performing similar works in the groups under the project manager. The higher level of team
structure delegates authority to take decisions to lower level (Ilin et al. 2016). Major decisions
are being taken from top levels.

In associative structure, there is no in-charge and all tasks are performed by equal
members of the structure linked in smaller groups for accomplishing the project tasks. The
bigger decisions and strategies are drive the team forward.
In matrix team structure, employees of the organization with the matrix structures retain
up-and-down the chain relationships of the hierarchical structure. It has relations with more
groups they should work with (Khoshtale and Adeli 2016). It allows decision making by the
group of peers while retains responsibility of group to carry strategic decisions.
3. Role of project manager performed during different stages of the team
development process
Walker (2015) stated that it is a key significant requirement of the project manager is to
recognize five stages of team development process and administer the project team throughout
the stages such that they can employ successfully to manage the project tasks. Following are
different stages of team development process such as:
Forming stage
In this stage, the team members are being taxing each other in addition to the project
manager along with discovering where they are fitting to the construction work of house building
project. The project manager checks clarity in addition to direction of the team members. The
function of project manager is to be clear about the goals of team and provide clearer direction
on the construction project work (Khoshtale and Adeli 2016). The project executive works with
the group to found the team norms in favor of collaborating mutually.
