INTRODUCTION
Global business environment is defined as those factors which can impact the entire
business externally and internally. Further, the study will evaluate two articles and also analyse
its strength as well as weakness of both articles. Further, provide recommendations which assist
to increase the knowledge regarding business environment.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the strength and weakness of two selected
articles which assist to examine the global business environment.
CHOSEN ARTICLES DETAILS
Article 1: Title of the article is to ‘New OLI advantage in digital globalization’ in which author
Yadong Luo describe digitization and globalization have converged to creates strong connection
between companies.
Article 2: The title of the chosen article is to “Innovation as recovery strategy for SMEs in
emerging economies during the COVID-19 pandemic” written by Santiago-Omar Caballero-
Morales. Author describes innovation as a key strength for SME in order to combat from
pandemic.
SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS
Summary of article 1
In recent times, globalization helps business to expand the business whereas digitization
significantly changes the way of doing business globally. The article further suggested that
digitization enable new OLI advantages emerge which include open resource access and
connectivity based linkage advantage. Further, the article also provides deeper insights into how
MNC leverages new OLI and with the implementation of digital technologies companies are able
to improve the speed, flexibility and efficiency of the activities (Luo, 2021). Moreover, it has
been analyzed from the article that it has increases the remarkable rise of digital technologies
among companies which create strong impression globally like, Amazon, Facebook and Alibaba
who actually connect through online market in other countries. This reflect that business must
complied with digitization in order to operate its business at global level.

Summary of article 2
The pandemic affect SME negative manner because almost all the countries announce
strict lockdown and only essential shops were opened, which also causes negative impact upon
economy. This in turn causes deeper impact upon the small and medium business and also
affects the client relationship too. The article suggests that by offering innovative products to
their customers will assist them to improve the performance and also combat from the worst
situation of Covid-19 (Caballero-Morales, 2021). For that, multidisciplinary methodological
approach has been used which guide SME to innovate their products for new market and also
make them usable for their public, this in turn creates a positive impression upon customers. The
article also reflect that starting family owned business and offer service or products online will
be the best way through which SME can start their business during as well as after pandemic.
That is why, it can be stated that innovation is the only survival tool that helps to SME to sustain
a good relationship with others and maintain the social distancing as well.
Analysis of strength and weakness of both articles
Strength: The strength of an article is such that it helps to provide a deep knowledge and
entire content is aligned with the defined title. Moreover, the second article grabs attention of all
the readers because many businesses find a solution in order to overcome form the problem of
Covid-19. Another strength of the articles is such that it critically evaluate the author’s point of
view and also elaborate the challenges faced by the companies during present scenario.
Weaknesses: the limitation of the first article is such that there is no defined design or
methodology used within an article and this influence the findings of the research. On the other
side, another article is completely relied upon secondary sources which might product results
correctly, but use of primary research will make an article more useful for other researchers as
