1.3 Marketing:
Also. Uber does a lot of things right, for marketing, they have so many channels and
their tactics don't stop at a certain limit or ceiling, and there are a lot of them. It is a
process in which the responsible management meets the requirements of customers
and companies (The importance of Human Resources to an Organization, 2017).
Marketing also encompasses all aspects of the company's business, including
developing an app that makes it easy for customers to access ( A,Cleanthous 02 Oct

1.4 Finance:
The finance department is the department that includes all activities in any
investment sector, in obtaining the necessary funds to finance any business in the
company(KURT 2020). This sector is also responsible for paying the wages of
employees and suppliers on time, as well as expanding business, as opening new
branches in different cities and countries. This sector has great importance in the
economy of entire countries, as the strength of this sector enhances consumer
confidence and purchasing power ( BBC, 2020).

1.5 Human Resources:
The Human resource department also plays a vital role in hiring potential candidate
who can effectively carry out all business activities in order to achieve set business goals.
Manager should communicative about the post which is vacant and to be filled to HR
executive so they can develop strategies in order to hire talented candidate who can execute
the working for achieve set business aim. There are various activities planned at work area in
Uber which is beneficial for employees so they can interact with one another and exchange
their products. The strong relationship among employer & employees helps in smooth
business functioning so that business goal can be achieved (10 Reasons HR Is Important to
an Organization, 2019).
1.6 Operations/ Production
This is the most important business sector as it results in production of goods
according to potential demand of client at the market area. This factor plays a vital role for
developing plans & designing products in Uber in order to attract large number of customers
who will purchase their goods (Operations Management : Definition, Principles and
Strategies, 2019). In Uber the main aim of this division is to utilize available resources of
firm in planned ways for gaining business success. The raw material are also utilised for
developing innovative and meaningful product. The Production Manager also insures that
output received are matching with the specifications of the product.
1.7 How Business Functions link Together
The different department at work place such as finance, marketing, production are
interlinked with one another in order to achieve set business goals so that firm will attain
success in their business operations which are carried out by them. For instance Financial
department have responsibility for managing funds so marketing department will coordinate
with them if they have to carry out any marketing campaign for capturing customer attention.
In Uber, the production & marketing department are interrelated with each other for
analysing quality, designing and other features of products before they are being offered to
customers (Marketing Matters Now More Than Ever, 2019).

From the above stated points it has been concluded that there are different department
at work place and all plays a vital role for enhancing business performances. Operational &
finance department plays major role for enhancing organisational growth. All department are
linked with one another so that all business activities are carried out in planned format for
achievement of business growth.
