This workshop mainly focuses on the different Global Challenges that are
faced in workplace. Global Challenges are the main issues that faced by
every organization and are very much essential to address the issues by
means of sharing the knowledge across various institutions, disciplines and
continents.
Learning
objectives
The main aim of this workshop aims in providing details of the factors that
runs behind the global challenges that are faced in workplaces.
LO1: At the end of the workshop we will be able to recognize the main
challenges that companies or organizations are facing nowadays in the
global market and based on it different theories are also evaluated which
will help the audiences to identify the methods by which these global
challenges may be overcome.
LO2: At the end of the workshop, one will also be able to identify the
profile type of the global workforce depending upon factors like age
profile, gender diversity, size of the workplace, flow of talent and the type
of workers that are working on the workplaces.
LO3: The workshop will also give brief idea of the different differences in
culture and society along with the competencies in the EI leaderships
which promotes to the global challenges.

emotional, human and other intelligence factors that promotes to the given

Targeted
Audiences
Audiences from different companies facing challenges in developing
global workforce training in large scale, companies for designer who aims
at developing training while designing for a multicultural environment,
audiences from different geographical parts with different cultural
diversity are the targeted audiences of the workshop on Global Challenges
in Workplace.
Relevant Activities Participants are divided into small groups in order to get their
opinion on different global Participants are presented with an
example of a workplace facing some global challenges.
Participants review the different types of global challenges that
they have faced within their organization.
Challenges, they think should be prioritized.
Individuals are provided with individual blank sheet of paper to
write one sentence on their view on Global identity and
Citizenship.
Participants are introduced with the concept of multiple
intelligences and a video is shown that explains the details of
Gardner’s multiple intelligences. Ideas are shared with each other
in every group that they feel represents the best to match their

personality. Later reviews are taken from the participants to share
their views on their performances in group assignment.
Participants are provided with the list of 3 components of Human
Intelligence that are explained in Gardner’s multiple intelligence.
The next activity of the workshop will focus on the positive and
negative emotions that are faced in workplace.
Feedbacks are taken from each of the participants about the type of
emotions that evokes them or causes change in the behavior of the
people’s performance at work place.
The role of an Emotional Intelligence leader is thus presented and
the different types of competencies that are faced by an EI leader
are thus mentioned.
Cultural diversity and Globalization plays a huge role in work
places. Participants views are taken on these two factors and
feedbacks are taken based on the experiences on the social and
cultural diversity that are faced by them and the positive or
negative experiences that they experienced from the outcomes.
In the whole workshop, the group of participants are sub divided
into different groups under LGBTI, Migrants, Women, People with
disability, Indigenous Australians and old workers.
Participants are presented with discussion questions, to guide their
conversation and encouraging them to reflect on the different work
place discrimination they faced:

outcome.

establishing it due to some global challenges in workplace while maintaining the cultural
diversities, global identities, multiple intelligences, prioritizing diversities and many more
factors. From the planned workshop development, on the topic Global Challenges in workplace,
it is desired that the main challenges that are faced with in workplaces will be reflected.
Workplace challenges vary from organization to organizations through different countries. It is
reported that some countries do not grant the equal rights irrespective of the sexual orientations.
Even nowadays, majority of the economies lacks in resolving the gaps in gender based equality.
Besides all these maintain a cohesive culture across country boundaries also presents more
challenges for global employers to give their best at workplace and to succeed the right
opportunity. The workshop also aims in establishing some of the competencies that are faced by
emotional intelligence leaders in order to overcome the global challenges in workplace. Some of
the factors include motivation where the leaders are responsible for providing inspiration,
guidance and vision focusing on the goals of the organization. The workshop aims at developing
these competencies among the leaders as they are responsible for taking active interest in others
feelings, motivation and thoughts. The workshop aims in generating the idea among EI leaders in
order to build networks and relationships among workers exerting influences. The workshop also
aims in providing the concept of diversity that helps in promoting acceptance, respect and
