responsibilities effectively. If every person is performing all the liabilities toward and behave
ethically than it may help to set a good and effective environment to live (Carter, 2013). The
concept of global citizenship involves three different dimensions that are awareness,
responsibility and participation, these are related to self and others. Hope for embracing that can
assure long term future sustainability of the world and all the living person on the earth is offered
by global citizenship. Idea of global citizenship helps to build understanding of world events,
challenges, unawareness and narrowness. It helps to develop arguments and voice the opinion of
the individuals on the issues that are faced by the world. Involvement in local, national and
world-wide communities can also be enhanced with the help of global citizenship (Lyons and
et. al., 2012.).
From the above statements it can be ascertained that global citizenship is a positive
concept that may help individuals to under their responsibilities toward society and world to
enhance standard of living. It is very important for the people to contribute toward the wellness
of world so that it may help to live easy life every individual. It is a form of ethical behaviour
toward the world. It is justified with the help of role of global citizenship in education because it
guides students in early age to fulfil their duties toward society.
