Global citizen is a person who is given global citizenship as he or she is aware about the wider
worlds as well as their place. Global citizenship is being aware, caring and acting upon global
issues. Global citizen plays an important and active role in their community and also works with
others to make our world more equal, fair and sustainable. Idea about the global citizenship are
benefited to young peoples in terms of building and maintaining their own understanding of
world events (Street, Inthorn and Scott, 2015). It also provides the capability to think about their
values and what's important to them. Idea of global citizenship also provides the platform to
individuals to develop an argument and voice their opinion for solving global issues which
maintains healthy working environment in the whole planet. With help of global citizenship, a
person can get involved with their local, national and global communities. In these people also
feel that their individual interest can be fulfil effectively if they work for the whole communities
(Gauthier, 2017). Idea of global citizenship also have some disadvantage like person can
potentially lose their first citizenship because some countries not allow to dual citizenship. It also
has disadvantage that global citizenship doesn't exist. For improving idea of global citizenship
person must aware about the different religion, history and traditional cultures for understanding
the conflicts and global relationship among the various countries. As a global citizen person have
to pay the attention about what's going on in the world and give appropriate suggestions in the
solution of the global issues of whole planet.
