AI Summary
This essay addresses the pressing issue of global climate change, highlighting its observable impacts such as shrinking glaciers, species extinction, and wildfires, which pose significant challenges to sustainability. It explores the scientific predictions of rising temperatures, primarily attributed to human activities and greenhouse gas emissions. The essay references reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), emphasizing the potential for significant temperature increases in the coming century and the varied regional impacts. It stresses the importance of understanding the environmental and societal responses to adapt to the changes, and the need for immediate actions to reduce the harmful effects of climate change. The essay concludes that climate change is a global issue, and it can be mitigated by increasing awareness and controlled actions of people to lessen the impacts.

GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate change is an issue which is a growing concern among people of all countries
across the globe and posing great challenges. There have been changes which are observable and
can be felt because of the changes taking place in the environment. Some of the changes which
are alarming and should be paid great attention to, are shrinking of glaciers, extinction of animals
and plants, occurrences of wild fires and so on.
It is very important to contribute to the process of lessening the impact of the changes
taking place across the globe as it is putting sustainability at stake (Bulkeley and Newell 2015).
Scientists have been predicting and learning about the changes happening which are leading to
the increase of global climate crisis. These would cause global climate crisis as the effects are
increasing such as accelerated rise of sea level and alarming loss of ice in the sea. The intensity
of heat waves are increasing over time which is leading to the rise of temperatures and change of
climates in several parts of the world.
Researchers and scientists who have been investigating the situations and the cause, are
of the opinion that there will be rise of temperature in the decades to come (Zehr 2016). It has
been found out by conducting researches that the reason for such rise of temperature is primarily
because of people’s activities as they largely contribute to the production of greenhouse gases
which is immensely harmful for the environment. There have been reports from the
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that there will be rise of 2.5 degrees to 10 degrees
Fahrenheit in the immediate next century (Ipcc.ch 2020). There are more than 1300 scientists
who are associated with the organization and examine and dread that the results will be
extremely alarming.
The effects will vary in different regions due to the geographical differences. However,
there will also be considerable degree of differences in the environmental and societal responses

which play very important roles to determine the adaptability of the people and the contributions
of people to mitigate and control the effects (Schlosberg. and Collins 2014). The damages which
are taking place and will continue to, over the period of time is quite high and will be higher in
the years to follow if effective steps are not taken to decrease the effect. The intensity of the
global climate change are to increase in the years to follow and depend on the amount of gases
which get trapped within the atmosphere of the Earth and increase the temperature because of
those harmful emissions. The planet is warming up from North Pole to South Pole, even though,
the intensity is much higher in the Polar Regions.
Climate change is often confused only with the rise of global temperatures, whereas,
scientists prefer using the terminology of climate change to refer to the issue as there are more
than one issue connected to it, such as changes in the habitats of wildlife and their population,
extreme weather changes, rise in the level of sea and other significant impact like the immediate
event of Wildfire in Amazon and Australia.
It can be concluded by saying that the impacts are increasing due to the trapping of the
greenhouse gases, which are mainly the results of the human activities. The complex situation
can only be met with, with the increase of awareness and controlled actions of people which will
lessen the impacts of climate change, which is a global issue.
