INTRODUCTION
Marketing plays an essential role in an organization because through that they able to
attract huge numbers of audiences and customers. In this firm need to analyse global as well as
cross culture marketing because that will help them in developing effective decision (Bañales
and et. al., 2019). While developing project an individual go through several situation which
help them in enhancing their skills, abilities and knowledge related to research topic. This
report is reflection report which include information related to situation which an individual go
through while develop project on global and cross cultural marketing. This will include different
factors through which data are collected and how it help in enhancing skills, knowledge and
capabilities.
MAIN BODY
I am very happy that I got my initial opportunity of conducting project on such a wide
topic i.e. Global and Cross-cultural Marketing, this is so because through it I able to increase my
skills, abilities and knowledge related to several aspects. Through this I also evaluate and
determine skills which are my strength and which are weaknesses, by which I can develop
strategies in order to improve it for attaining career goal and objectives. I am conducting
project on global and cross culture marketing and for that I have collected numbers of
informations through different tools and techniques which develop my understand related to
research methodology. Moreover, through this module I able to gain in depth knowledge about
global and cross culture marketing. Global marketing refers to marketing activities which are
conducted on the worldwide level in order to gain competitive advantages as well as it will also
help in boosting company profitability by increasing sales (Brand and Blok, 2019). Along with
this, cross culture marketing refers to strategic procedures of marketing between customers
who are from different culture in comparing to marketer's own culture. Through this I
determined that an organisation need to conduct global marketing because through that they
can reach to more numbers of customers at international level. I also understand that
companies need to conduct cross culture analysis as that will help them in developing effective
as well as proper decision related to marketing in order to attract more potential customers.

In addition to this, while gathering information about global as well as cross culture
marketing I used different methods of data collection such as primary method, it is determine
as method through that researcher or individual able to gather proper and first handed
information. These informations are more accurate as well as reliable because in this person
themselves collect data and for that a different methods can be used such as observation,
interview, questionnaire and so on (Cahuas, 2019). Another method of data collection is
secondary method in this data are already available in the form of documents, there are several
different sources of this such as census, government documents, services record, online article,
earlier research and so on. In respect of respective research I gather information related to
global marketing as well as cross culture marketing. For this I used both primary and secondary
research method because through both I able to gather more appropriate and authenticate
informations about the topics. In order to conduct primary research I conducted observation as
well as I also interview some people for gathering reliable information about the topic. Along
with this, for gathering informations through secondary source I use online as well as offline
articles, books, government documents, newspaper and so on. It is so because through it I able
to gather authenticate as well as effective informations related to the global as well as cross
culture marketing (Chan and Mak, 2019).
Furthermore, in order to understand more about the experiences which I faced while
conducting this project I used reflection model i.e. Gibbs reflection model. This model is
developed by Graham Gibbs in year 1988 and it is publishes in his book named “Learning by
Doing”. In this model there are different phase through which an individual can analyse what
they feel, experience and learn from specific situation or while conducting any project. This will
also help in analysing self strengths as well as weaknesses. There are six stages in respective
model i.e. description, feeling, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan. First stage is
description in which a person need to analyse situation for determining what happen, who are
involved, what other people do and so on (Dunne, 2019). In respect of my experience while
conducting project I able to leader numbers of things about the cross culture and global
marketing as well as I also determine that I have several skills from which some can be denoted
as strength whereas some are weaknesses. Second phase is feeling an individual will evaluate

their feeling during and after particular project as well as it also help in determining what other
people feel while conducting project. In this I analyse that while conducting project I feel happy
because during the whole procedure I able to enhance my skills, abilities and procedure. But I
also feel that due to my weak skills and abilities I am not able to perform much effective
according to my set standard, so at this I decide to improve my weak skills.
Third stage is evaluation in which a person will evaluate what went well in whole project
or activities, what went wrong, why that particular situation happen, what was other
contribution and so on (Godfrey and et. al., 2019). In respect of my situation I go through both
good and bad situation because my strength skills help me in conducting my work in effective
manner whereas in some skill I am weak which hinder my work and at that time I feel sad. This
is happen because I am not able to conduct my work properly as well as it also impact on the
outcome which I set. Next stage is analysis at which an individual conduct evaluation of their
experiences, knowledge and outcome. In this they will conduct evaluation of both positive as
well as negative factors which occur during the project work. In respect of my situation I
analyse that I faced both positive as well as negative situation while conducting project on
global and cross culture marketing, this is generally happen with me due to my strong as well as
weak skills and abilities.
After that fifth phase is conclusion in which an individual step back and look themselves
from a particular distance in order to analyse what else they can do in particular situation so
that they can attain their outcome. Informations gather throughout the project is essential for
person because that will help them in achieving good as well as useful conclusion. According to
my experience I go through both positive and negative but I want to conclude that I enjoy the
whole work because through that I able to enhance my skills, abilities and knowledge about the
global marketing as well as cross culture marketing. Last stage of Gibbs reflection model is
action plan at which an individual analyse whole situation and develop action plan accordingly
so that they can avoid issues or mistake in future (Hershberg and Johnson, 2019). In respect of
my situation while conducting project on global and cross culture marketing I face some issues
due to my weak skills so I decide to attain training and development session so that I can

enhance my skills effectively. Through this I able to attain my goal effectively as well as it also
lead to increase in my skills, abilities and effectiveness in successfully manner.
In addition to this while conducting this project I able to know several topic which are
related to the global as well as cross culture marketing such as for developing effective
strategies company management need to conduct situation analysis. That will include various
topics such as market environment analysis, market competitiveness, brand positioning
strategies, value proposition and many more. Along with this I also determined that a company
need to conduct analysis related to market entry strategies as well as standardisation and
adaptation strategies. I also get to know that in standardisation and adaptation strategies an
organisation need to determine several topics such as products and services strategies, pricing
strategies, marketing communication strategies, distribution strategies, people, process and
physical evidence strategies and so on (Hope and Bañales, 2019). By conducting all these an
organisation able to do their global as well as cross culture marketing in effective and successful
manner.
CONCLUSION
By analysing above discussed point it can be summarise that there are while developing
a specific project a person go through numbers of ups and downs that will help them in
developing strategies and attaining goal in successful manner. Through this a person also able
to determine their skills and abilities which seems as strengths as well as weaknesses for a
particular situation or project. According to that an individual can also develop strategies for
enhancing their weak skills as well as it also lead to activities which help in polishing their skills.
