across the globe. The reasons being the technology and new innovations in the fields of dentistry.
The capacity and techniques along with diagnosis tools have improved in last few decades which
makes the old ways obsolete. Thus the needs for improved training and proper association of
people to train them in the new technologies have made the improvements needed for the
modern day care and cure for patients globally. Hence the global dental healthcare systems are
been studied here where the role of FDI in the globalization of the techniques of the modern day
healthcare. FDI World Dental Federation is the body that have more than a million subscribers
worldwide. This network guides in making the policies and also serves as the representative
body across the globe. So development of the dentists globally with the formulation of health
care policies and helps in communicating the problems faced by dentists globally. Developing
health policies and speaking for the dental care in a unified manner makes the job of the
federation so important. Further, the development aspects of the new age care along with the
needs for the practitioner’s role in the awareness development of the patient’s own care
procedures and awareness of the dental care policies has made the care processes have a global
standard. The oral health’s ability to speak, smile, smell, taste, touch, chew and swallow are the
key aspects the dental healthcare processes which are been discussed and elaborated in the
research as follows.
Rationale of the research
The research rationale is based on the way the modern dental healthcare systems are following
the processes and adapting to the global policies of care and cure. The dental healthcare is
designed to give the patients the abilities to taste, smell, chew, swallow, smile, touch, and speak
like activities which are key for a good life. So the dental healthcare is important for various
body functions which are necessary for a good dental care process and utility programs for the
best clinical outcomes. The research focus on the globalization for the improvement of the global
care processes so that it can be standardized for a global care and cure formality. The needs for
the best care and the ways to be followed by the dentists are important for the practitioners to

implement and learn so that it may work internationally to improve the quality of care processes
(Rogers et al., 2017).
Therefore, the role of FDI World Dental Federation along with the use of dental care processes
to be followed for the standardized application of the resources has made the professionals to
prosper and integrate the needful care facilities and awareness in their practice processes. The
web based clinical data sharing has started across the globe with the advent of Information
technologies which enables the education of the dentists of today to get the best of education
from the online sources where they don’t have a facility of class room teaching facilities. This
has improved the way the care and cure processes work. The Dental Information Systems (DIS)
is the new application which aids the Practitioner to develop the needful skills that would help in
clinical applications of the global healthcare systems (Eldredge et al., 2016). So the doctors can
retrieve information from those sources and develop their practices in-house. The training and
learning opportunities makes the people in the operations of dental health care happy and
confident. The case studies can be shared along with the different processes that was followed
for a specific case by the practitioner so that it helps all in the field to learn about it and adopt the
same for such cases in future.
The updating of records, patients history and the care and cure measures those were followed in
a specific case along with complications are all loaded in the e-systems which is shared with
other people for their knowledge and follow-ups further, as and when needed. So the automation
of the records in the global environment has made the dental care have the needful resources and
abilities that would help in their future jobs with the help of previous records which gives a clue
of the patients history so that it’s cost effective and well planned treatment process can be

With the globalization the utilities of record keeping and the information and supply systems are
well documented due to the IT system inclusion to make it global. Hence, the business of dental
healthcare can go global which has been made to succeed in global terms so that it can be
standardized. Further the globalization helps in making the practitioners have an idea of the
problems in specific parts of the globe to investigate the reasons and give solution so that such
massive influx of such infection or disease of dental problems can be reduced. So the business of

the health care in this sector is growing and the needful is provided by the global atmosphere
which is accessible in real times to keep the practitioners informed and ever earning about the
subject to make them competent. The benefits of the dental health for the people in developing
economies and the lifestyle awareness for the people of all age and segments are addressed with
the globalized approach (Lewney et al., 2018).
Nevertheless the challenges that the expansion of dental care overseas may face some problems.
The ways the problems are mitigated and solved makes the use of dental healthcare better and
ever changing with time so that the best of care and cure processes are adopted across the globe
by all practitioners. The solutions for the problems those arise of expansion of the business in
this segment is addressed with the solutions so that the global healthcare gets the best out of its
international business and expansion thereof. The growth and development of a global healthcare
policy and formulations for standardized practices are also investigated in the research.
