INTRODUCTION
This report covers my reflection of self learning experience of Global Business
Environment module. The purpose of making this report is to reflect on my learning journey
which allows me to self assess myself. In this report, I highlights my strengths and weaknesses
which I found within myself, my ability to work with team and my perspective on culture in
group. It assess the new research skills I have obtained and my personal development plan as per
my self awareness.
Self Awareness
I evaluate that I showed robust communication skills as I talked with every person in the
group and facilitates them their duties, roles and contribution in group success. I initiate
communication within group so that everyone feels connected and do not distract from group
goals (Foulkes, 2018). I believe that my timely communication with members allowed them to
finish their work faster and on time. This results in timely submission of our files. But this also
could have became a issue as there are people from varied culture and they might not understand
my point of view which could lead to conflicts. I believe proper communication is when people
from various backgrounds and point of view understands group objectives because of the ways I
described to them. It allows everyone in the group to listen to each other and comprehend their
perspectives and then came to a decision. My one weakness is self confidence as I was not
confident enough in my work as I continue to make changes in it even at last time.
Teamwork
After this experience, I determined my part in group and realised that I was organiser and
communicator. For instance, I took care of that everyone is doing their work and not overlapping
of work is happenings within the group. As organiser, I accumulate all our work into
presentation and transcript (MacMahon, Leggett and Carroll, 2020). I consider this as my
strength as I think it is necessary to project everyone's work in one direction else the individual
work and research would not make any sense. I think there were no problem within group as we
all worked in unison and communicate with each other if came across any problem. We make a
group chat where we maintained open and clear communication as well as we use the network to
assign roles & tasks. This allows me to better interact with everyone and everyone felt
comfortable in asking for assistance from others.

Perspective Culture
People in our group belongs to various culture and backgrounds where we encounter both
differences and similarities. Similarity is that we all are of same age which makes it easy for me
connect with others. We were a group of five people, with two female and three male. Two of
them were Asian and two were African, but we all live in UK so we spoke English. We never
met each other in person before forming this group. But when we worked on same project, we
came across each other's culture details (Margaliot, Gorev and Vaisman, 2018). We take other
person culture in consideration while making any decision and behaved accordingly. First
interactions were quite difficult as we found it complex to understand each other's perspectives.
But we eventually get along and shared value from our respective culture so others can
comprehend us properly.
Research Skills
While completing this module I learnt about several research skills comprising searching
literature and referencing. About searching for literature, I use to find it complex to look for
accurate sources to cite in my work but now I know how to find right sources with help of
Google Scholar and Online library as they are relevant sites for citations (Moreland, Levine and
Wingert, 2018). The next skill I acquired is referencing with Harvard system as it must be sort in
alphabetical order. This improved my knowledge as I had no idea of how to do particularly
Harvard referencing. These research skills will help me do better in my future assignments.

CONCLUSION
My significant learning from this module is how to work in group showcasing robust
teamwork skills. This allows me to understand how different culture perspectives can affect team
work process. I understand that good communication skills are essential in group so they can
effectively carry out whole work. Respecting, valuing and understanding other person's views
can help in understanding them better. This allows me to self reflect and assess my both
strengths and weaknesses so that I can make a personal development plan accordingly.
