Introduction
The large scale events including festivals, formal parties, Olympics and concepts include
in the Global event industry that develops and organised. These events are different in sizes and
are of different types. Companies under the global event industry are differentiated on the basis
of size, type, resources, organisers and many others. This report is in the context of London's
ExCeL exhibition centre who organises events at global level. In 2012, London's ExCeL
exhibition centre conducted an Olympic event in which they get success and sustainability in the
market (Xia and et.al., 2019). This report covers brief explanation of global event industry and
their role. It includes environmental factors that influences the mega event. Also there is internal
and external analysis to be presented on this discussion.
Task 1
P1 Organisational Structure of global event and roles of various global events in the society.
Global events are such type of events that have a global reach but it organise only from
shorter period of time. It require significant investments and sponsorships from big companies,
organisation, businesses and many others and have an impact on population and built the
successful environment. There are many ways to categorize the diversity on the basis of size,
form and content. Societies and event audiences are increasing nowadays due to which ethnicity
and diversification are rapidly increasing. To increase the diversification in global event industry
there are various strategies which needs to be adopt such as
 Avoid the invisible minority effect: It suggest that for any mega event there is a need to
have majority of people where discrimination should be strictly avoided.
 Pay attention towards the event professionals: It refers to the selection of leaders and
managers who have responsibilities and duties to make the global event successful.
 Broaden the selection pool: It suggested that there is a need of proper planning of global
event including speakers, facilitators, panellists and many others.
 Set the objective criteria and analyse the budget: It refers to understand the proper plan
which is to be implemented to make the global event successful. There is a need to have
budget planning in every department of the global event so that there must be set criteria
and analysation of global event (Jones and et. al., 2019).

The structure of the event industry
Various organisations are hosted mega events, which maybe the event specified bodies.
The companies who organise event are generally organise them on a contract basis. They are
responsible for all the products and services which is useful in implementation of the global
event.
Event management companies: It is a necessary task to examine the organisation which
are taking the responsibilities of event management. There are different type of events including
business parties, mega event, family parties that handled by the event manager. Therefore it is a
responsibility of such event management companies to help the organisation in planning and
procedure of the mega event. '
Venue: It is a systematic approach that determine the size and decorum of the global
event. Different events including the business parties, Olympic games, World cup, family parties
are different of sizes. Different sizes have different ways of presentation in the global event.
Event size: The size of the event is categorize on the basis of size of the event. Common
categories include major events, mega events, hallmark events and local communities events.1. Major events: It refers to the big events which include media attention and economic
events. Major sporting event involves competition between teams and individuals, attract
the public event on national and International basis.2. Hallmark events: There are those event which are identified with the spirit of town,
region and city. Some examples include The Kentucky Derby in the USA, The Chelsea
flower show in UK. Hallmark events simply increase the efficiency of that particular
region or city.3. Mega events: Mega events are so large and specified that affect the whole economies and
reverberate in the global media. The revert generally developed with the competitive
bidding. Examples include FIFA world cup, Olympic games.
4. Local communities events: Most communities produce a host of festivals and events that
are targeted the local audience and stage primarily for social fun and entertainment value.
Such events also help to expose people in innovating of their new ideas, sports and art
activities.

 Mega events generally helps to gain profit and increase the demand of the people. If the
mega event maximise their profit from the expected budget then it helps the global event
to make the best use of it or put it for the next best mega event which will be organize.
 Events develops the existing resources and social cohesion which states that events are
organised to maximise their profit. Profit maximisation helps the country standard of
living and increase the level of satisfaction in the society.

Various types of events and festivals has long existed as the significant part of the human
society and it diversified as the forms of public display, rituals and collective celebrations. It
suggest that people in all culture recognized the need for communal creativity and celebrations.
The diverse nature of events influenced the factors in the event industry globally.
Industry growth: The continuous rise the global event are all such events which have
emerged as the main growth that drives in the sector. Global events are playing an increasing
important role in the marketing and communication. Nowadays the global event has become an
integral part of the global event. Examples include monarchy and anniversaries of of the major
historical events have played a key role in various public celebrations include their traditions,
image and culture of Britain for hundred years (Scholz and et. al., 2019).
The contribution of mega event in the global economy: In the global economy, mega
events usually plays a major role because they organise at biggest level. It has been suggested
that the budget of such event are higher and because of the they impact the whole economy
efficiently.
Demand and motivations for different type of events: Events which set at the higher
level are generally set of higher demand of the people because they satisfied by watching the
event. It has been suggested that motivation of people are based on demand. If people gets
motivated then the motivation level is generally increasing. Major conferences and exhibition
centre for the global event in the main cities are informed before the organisation to be take place
generally by templates or on the official websites.
Event history and socio cultural development: It refers to the social and cultural
impact directly examine towards the participants because it includes demographics and cultural
requirements which impact on the revenues of the company that sponsored the mega event.

The above factors conclude that impact on events that influences the development of the
event industry globally. These factors are very important to be taken into the consideration for
the global event because these factors helps the event in maximising the profit.

The values, impacts and legacy of a global event in based on all the factors including
social, cultural, economical, environmental and political aspects. Benefits from these factors on
the environment are because of the high popularity and support of sponsorships, organisations,
start-ups. The value, impacts and legacy of global events are well documented and the strategies
are properly developed on the environment. The recent explosion of events led to the increasing
economic analysis and event benefits.
Events have both positive and negative impact on their stakeholders and communities host. To
achieve the best result from parties there is a need to develop and maximise all the positive
impacts and strictly reduce negative impact. Positive and negative impacts are listed below:
Positive impact
 Direct impact of social and cultural factors on implementing the global event.
 Community events and celebrations on national days increase the pride that gves a
positive reflection of global events in the society.
 Some events are highly effective and create a great awareness in the society.
 Global events helps the people in creating some innovative ideas and reflect new ideas.
 Entertainment provided in a friendly environment and it can be stated that events
contribute in the political debate and helps to develop the nation.
Negative impact
 Major factors on the environment that can affect the global event, faces a negative impact
somewhere which needs to be reduce including sustance abuse, bad behaviour,
environmental damage, noise disturbance, financial loss, loss of authenticity and many
others. There is a high possibility of terrorist attacks in the mega events. Therefore the global
events needs high security and safety to strictly avoid any damage and major functions.
Contribution of the global event in the economy

 National level: Global events which organise at national level are direct impacted the
society. It is because public come from different countries and are from different religion
and states. Such type of global events helps the nation in increment of the foreign
currency (Oda and Fiebrink, 2020).
 Regional level: Collection of the domestic tax helps the event in developing the economy
at the regional level. It includes the events from particular area, district or part of a
nation. Local level: It refers to the events organize at local level which helps the people in
increasing the job opportunities and develops economic growth.

Long term impact on the stakeholders: Stakeholders include organisers, visitors and
investors which helps the global event to leads the success. The success of event attract public of
different countries and it generally helps the global event maximise profit.
P4 Management strategies which is responsible for the development of global event
Management strategies are a series of technique that helps in controlling or directing the global
event and helps in achieving the set of goals. The management strategies include
Corporate environmental management model: To stop damaging the natural
environment this strategy is to be implement to achieve profit and increase the level of
satisfaction. This strategy helps in development of the capabilities which is helpful in increasing
the enhancement of new market. It gives a rough idea about the execution of global event or it it
can be successful or not. This strategy also helps in analysing the impact of environmental
factors in the global event (Otto and et. al., 2020).
Balance scorecard: This strategy helps the global event in measuring the performance of
