INTRODUCTION
A global events can be describe as those limited time events which has global reach and
involve number of resource for achieving a common objectives in form of collective efforts. In
global world there are number of global events which are experienced by various individuals and
are helpful in delivering common agenda (Ham, 2018). It includes both private and public events
which depends upon nature of investment. In relation to events industry, business of this industry
is increasing regular where it involve music concerts, exhibitions and conferences, sports,
corporate events and seminar & many more. In context of this report it will consist a discussion
on global event industry where structure and role of various industry will be discussed. Factor
impacting to this industry will also be discussed under this report. Along with this, all those
management strategies which can be use by organisation will also be discussed. This will also
cover an insist on, impacts, values, along with legacy of a range of global events and including
this assignment will also cover positive and negative impacts the macro environment that has
over global events.

P1 Examine the diversity of the global events industry, including its structure and organisation
and the role of different types of events in society
Global event industry is very vast where there are number of event which are performed by
various organisation to achieve different objectives. These events has there different base,
structure and objectives which are determined by key stakeholder in event. In present context
some of these are discussed below which have separate roles in market (Nagendra and Reddy,
2017).
Local or community events: These are those planed and unplanned gatherings which
involve not more than 50 person. Demonstrations, Marches and Parades are some common
example of these events. In relation to this, such type of events are based on small amount of
budget and has common dress code which Dependents upon nature of event.

Hallmark events: It includes those events which are performed for some specific purpose
related to gaining maximum attention for some particular reason. These are those which are
related to creating awareness in large number of people to safeguard them form unpleasant event.
Some common example of these events are spread awareness, improve appeal of tourism
destinations (Berkebile, 2018).
Sports Events: It include those events which are related to some kind of competition in
two or more individuals which include machines, people, animals or other. Contest, game, race,
other competition are some example of these events.
Mega events: These are those events which includes various resource according to
requirement. These kind of events are based on large number of gathering where thousands of
individual take participation in these events. Some common example of these events at global
level are Edinburgh festivals, cultural Olympiad and many other which take place at global level
in mega form (Tralhão and Póvoa, 2020).
Structure of event industry:
Events industry is growing in rapid manner where it is conducting number of events
which take place as various destinations and cites. These events are hosted by various
organisation which include both private and public firms. These are Glastonbury festival and
Harrogate international festival. In relation to structure of events, this directly dependents upon
the size of event and its differ from event to event basis. There are some common factors which
are included in each and every event and are discussed below:
Suppliers of event industry: This act as main factor in every event in this industry as
there are number of suppliers which bahs to be manage events organisers. Under this it includes
sound production, lightning, entertainment and catering.
Venue: This also act as important area in event management this is because it is
mandatory to organisation that they has to manage venue according to need and size of event.

functions in effective number as well as follow international rules related to event management.
Role of events in society:
There are different roles which are played by events industry some of these are discussed below:
Events play important role in employment generation within society as a event includes
number of activity which require persons to perform all function. These are related to
achieving goals and performing function in effective way and help in generating
employment.
Effective use of resource is also role which is played by events in context of society. This
is because there are various function which relation different resource and event industry

that event organisations are playing an important role for gaining growth in economy. When an
event is organised this industry consider overall demands of their customer, trends at the market
area, innovative & reusable products for interior décor as this have direct impact on overall
planning of the event. If the events are related to any industry, then they are enhancing the
motivational factors like impact on the outside audience which can be cultural, social, personal
etc. If there is any art & craft exhibition organised, then these factors will support firm in gaining
high market share, maximising profitability index and earning high revenues.
Socio-cultural factors and event history: Event industry is also impacted by factors
related to culture competency, demographics, they can have both positive and negative
implications on both profitability index & revenues of event. In context of London exhibition,
they can develop plans for spreading awareness relating to issues faced by public, beliefs of
individual and cultural aspects. This will help them in development of knowledge related to
social & cultural events as they play a vital role for overall growth and development of the

In current business environment, events are playing important role in shaping business
environment which is related to value, impacts and legacy of different events on society and
other components of business (Itaki, 2016). In relation to present repost there are various kind of
impacts which are imprinted by events on global context. Some of these are discussed below:
Social and cultural impact-: Events are the main elements which are responsible for
managing communication and relationship in society for performing functions. There are number
of values, religion, tradition and belief which are important for society and important to be full
filled. Events help communities and society in performing functions in effective way and
achieving there objectives regarding communication and better relationships. There are number
on events like communal program, marriages and many more which helps in achieving business
objectives and managing function in effective way for better print of events on society.
Physical and environment impact-: Events has both positive and negative impact on
business environment because they are related to functions of firm which are needed to be
according to natural environment. Events helps organisation in improving transportation in area
because they provide facilities like private transport and many more. On the other side, they also

plastic cups which are responsible for environment pollution and many such factors which cause
