place. Nowadays they have been managed and controlled by
the professionals. Global events are those events which occur
at international level. The events can be organised at different
level and with different purposes such there are various events
are organised for family and community to celebrate festivals
and occasions while trade fair and exhibitions are organised
for business purposes.

Positive impact : The events are organised at different locations which helps in development of that particular location
as it generate the job opportunities and attracts tourist to the place as it becomes famous due to the event. For e.g.,
sports events such as Olympics lasts for almost a month which generate the opportunity of revenue to the people.
Global events such as New Years Eve Fireworks of London attracts a lot of tourist to the country at the particular
time.

Negative impact : Due to global events the expenditures of the people residing in that particular locations increases
as the general price level goes up. Also the events affect the environment of the particular location also they exploit
the resources of the society. For e.g., due to live concerts, sports games etc. a lot of waste in generated which
pollution the environment.
Due to this the decision making of event organisers gets affected such as to increase employment opportunities for
local people they can allow local people to exhibit their products. This can affect their profitability as if they would
allowed people from other countries they would have earned better prices for such stall and this will directly affect
the organizational behaviour as they work for profit but need to consider the societal impact.

To analyse the effect of macro factors on global event industry PESTLE analysis will be done which
will also help to analyse the influence on decision making and organisational behaviour. This analysis
helps to identify the changes that are taking place worldwide which helps them to identify the threats
and opportunities available for the event industry.

Political factors : These factors includes changes in government and
government policies which can intervene in the process of the company.
The pressure of the government is increasing on the emission of
carbons from the transportation and the machineries such as generators,
vans etc. that they use in the event. This has negative impact on the
organisation that organises live concerts, global trade exhibitions etc. as
they uses a lot of technology. For this they have to find alternative for it
which increases their cost.

• Economic factors : The factors it includes are economic growth, interest rate, inflation etc. The pressure of recession in UK
compels the event companies to cut down their expenses such as expenses on decoration, support activities etc and due to
this they may have to compromise with various services as the funds that are required to organise the event may not be
easily available. This affect the decisions when they have already planned the event but due to shortage of funds execution is
not possible. Such issues are generally faced by events such as literature fest in which decoration is must which depicts the
culture of the economy. But due to shortage of funds they have to compromised in such expenses.

 Technological factors : These factors helps to identify the impact of changes in technology on the business. The use of
audio visual displays , creative communication , presentations etc. changes the way of conducting the events such as live
concerts, trade shows which has positive impact as it makes easy for the company to attract customers. But on the other
hands it increases cost of the company and increases competition which affects their decisions as they have limited funds.
 Legal factors : Legal factors affects the businesses due to implementation of changes in the law. Many regulations are
imposed by the judiciary in regards to rights and license of display, broadcasting, media which affect the promotion of the
event such as music events, award shows etc. But they guidelines that has been provided by the laws offer equal opportunity
to all the participants in the event industry. Imposition of any law may affect the behavior of the organization as they can
adversely affect their operations.

 Ecological factors : These factors covers the issue of environment at national and international
level. The rules and regulations imposed by the government regarding emission of the carbons and
the pollution affects the locations decision of the event industry. But it also offer an opportunity to
do green events and take the competitive advantage. Due to this events such as trade exhibitions
plantation programs are arranged so that they can contribute to the environment.

analysed through Pestle analysis. On the basis of which it is identified that all the macro factors has
impact on the event industry which is positive and negative both. To reduce the impact of various
factors they should comply with all the regulations and the laws and need to adapt the changes
which are taking place whether in terms of technology or new implications. This will reduce the
cost thus it will increase profits. In events such as Live concerts, Olympics the technology is used
which affects the local people as in such events a lot of resources are utilized but it create
opportunity for the people by promoting the locations and culture of the place along with the event.

internal analysis is done for the event. Its main motto is to inspire generations and promote sports in

adequate funds to meet the expenses of events. Different sponsors are also there which provide all
needed resources for proper organization and execution of event. Following points were kept in mind
for proper planning. This is done for a cricket tournament.
