INTRODUCTION
Global events can be referred as the events that has the global reach and which are being
organised at a huge level and accounts for a limited duration. These are the events which helps in
bringing tourism, helps in creating job opportunities, ensures long term development for
infrastructure and helps in development of particular communities. These events are being
designed in manner which help the country in which it is being organised to generate benefits
which are being long term in nature. Global events accounts to direct contribution and
development to the economy in which this are going to be organised. When government bids for
organising global events such as Olympics it takes into consideration various positive and
negative aspects where positive aspects can be in terms of attracting tourism to the country,
increasing hospitality industry business as it accounts to high generation of revenues which
helps in increasing local economies of that particular region which accounts to growth and
development of country in which it is being organised. Global events such as Olympics helps In
facilitating trade of the country as it accounts to invitation of various countries which encourages
building up of strong relationships by countries mutually agreeing and signing the deed which he
helps in adding to various advantages and serve as the source for the pride of hosting such big
events. It also accounts to various negative aspects such as country account to huge investment in
hosting such kind of events which is being in terms of financial loss as it regards with getting
promotion of events, logistics investments, arranging various equipments to ensure to that all
games in hosting an event are being meet properly and various others. Present report will address
to various perspectives that have an impact on the environment which can be in terms of carbon
footprints, sustainability, pollution, understanding impact from a social perspective and various
others.
MAIN BODY
IMPACT FROM ECONOMIC PERSPECTIVE
Job creation:
This global event will create many job and employment opportunities for the locals. As
government will conduct many programmes in order to renovate and refurbish the the current

condition of the host location. In order to that they need workforce in various departments which
provide employment to many peoples in housekeeping, manufacturing, production, cleaning,
information technology, electricity departments etc. Government hand over several projects to
private institutions also which include the taxi services, accommodations, event management etc.
So the overall or unemployment issue will decrease and people will get jobs but this will be for a
short term after compilation of the event things will drop down at their regular pace.
Costs to the tax payer:
The job and earning sources will increase which will enhance the overall financial
condition and economic level of the host country. But the costs to the general and local public
who pay taxes will be impacted in a negative way as the expenses incurred in the re-establish of
the infrastructure and other development activities will be covered from the taxpayers (Wise and
Harris, 2017).
Future trade:
It also influence future business options for the local industries as people from various
countries and big business tycoons and commercial elite people visit the Olympiad and they
came in contact in the local industries and business personal which catch their eye and provide
opportunities for future business.
THE IMPACT FROM ENVIRONMENTAL PERSPECTIVE
Carbon footprints
It refers to the greenhouse gases which is being primarily understood as carbon dioxide
which is being released in the atmosphere by a particular activity of humans . It is simply
understood as gas emission that comes use, production and end of life of a service or a product
that can have negative impact on the well being of human beings and can adversely affect the
same. The country hosting Olympics should account to proper measures to avoid gases which
can give rise to carbon footprints which ensures proper functioning of Olympics in the hosting
country (Long, Chen, Park, 2018.). It accounts to various facilities that are required on the end of
to facilitate this global events and give rise to such carbon footprints such as stall facilities
available at various places where the event is getting organised which leads to consumption of
various food items and disposing off in unfavourable manner which can be the prominent reason
in the rise of such carbon footprints. This needs to be planned by the hosting countries in
advance which is not considered can result in emission of harmful gases, whereby company

needs to account to various measures which disregards the same such as less use of paper, plastic
which accounts to majority of gas emission, it can be by the means of using sustainable and clean
energy and various others by which it ensures smooth functioning and accounts to protect the
environment as well (Wouts,2020).
Pollution
To organise such a global event it is being found that there is increase in high rate of
pollution as it attracts large number of audience from different countries who come to address
such events and travel to places which are being famous in the country. It is being understood
that to travel to such places, audience will travel by vehicle which leads to pollution in the
environment which as a result has long termed impact such as degrading the quality of the air
and leads to environment instability as a result lead to various changes in the climate. These
events also account to noise pollution as different audience coming from different countries to
support there participant and boost there morale and cheer them up (Yeh, Huang, 2018).
Sustainability
It refers to the improvements taken on the part of hosting countries to account and taking
measures to control pollution and carbon footprints which can be by the means of spreading
awareness about non usage of plastic and paper and if used taking appropriate measures to
dispose off the same (Wang, Bao, 2018). Encouraging use of goods that are highly eco-friendly,
that promotes clean and healthy environment. It could also be by the means of implementing
high end technology in vehicle which ensures less air pollution and can be by using electrically
driven vehicle. It could also account to sustainability by printing posters to spread awareness
about not polluting the environment.
Impact from social perspective
Social cohesion:
The global event of The Olympic presents a positive social influence as people from
different part of the world take part in the Olympics games and they represent their nation and
their tradition in that event. People gathered together at common platform belongs from different
cultural and social background will create a opportunity for the local people s and for those also
who are part of that event. Before starting the event they all represent their nation and their
traditional culture through their outfits, parades and Anthem. People get to learn about various
social cultures (Ferilli and et. al., 2017.). There the participants were representing their country

but they also bring diversity in that event. Which spread a positive message of equality and unity
without any discrimination.
Morale:
Audience who visited to see the games and activities going on in the Olympic events, will
get a positive impact by the discipline and team work and dedication encountered by them of the
teams and sports persons. People who indulge in sports activities are mostly very well disciplines
and obedient they have immense ability of managing group and handling pressure. These
attributes will encourage and motivate people to adapt ethical behaviour and boost their morale.
Players have competitive nature as they wanted to win the competition but with that they also
have respect for each other. This behavioural trait of theirs is good which enables a person to
tackle the hardship and opposition situations.
Entertainment:
Olympics is a international event which consist of various recreational and entertainment
activities. Apart from sports they also have social events like dance and singing , stage
performances by celebrities. Performances and parades of various cultures etc. It includes many
professional sports like disc through, gymnastics, swimming, archery, boxing, lap running, tennis
weight lifting etc. Apart from the knowledge perspective these global events will bring
entertainment resources (Pinto and et. al., 2020). People enjoy watching their favourite players
and teams playing live more than on television. This is a big source of income along with
amusement for local people or for the residents of that specific state or region.
Regeneration opportunities:
There will be a vast scope for domestic and local businesses and people to attain the
revival possibilities because when it is announced that Olympics is going to take place in that
particular country. Government start to do development and renovation and refurbishing of that
particular state which generate employment opportunities as government bodies required huge
amount of workforce and they also hand over certain projects to private companies and
institutions as well (Wise and Perić, 2017). This will create various employments and earning
sources. Small and micro businesses will also get benefits from them, small or large scale hotel
and travel industry, F&B outlets, transportation services like cabs, taxis etc. Event organising
Regeneration opportunities: companies, cottage industries which produce hand-loom products,
labours, housekeeping people, retailers all will be benefited and the over all infrastructure of the

state will also improve. Cottage industries and Hotel and accommodation facility providers will
get highly affected as people tend to buy traditional and hand made products as memory and they
are speciality of that area (Van Luijk, 2018). People from parts of the world will visit which
increase tourism and they stay in hotels, guest houses, bunkers etc. overall the economic
possibilities and opportunities will increase and the domestic business will get a great chance to
restart their earnings.
CONCLUSION
The above report conducted a detailed evaluation on various impact reflected on the host
country and it was also analysed that how all these environmental, social, economical factors
have influence the overall structure and productivity and growth of the host nation due to the
occurrence of Olympic event. From the above report it has been understood that environmental
perspective counts on various impact such as carbon footprints, pollution generation nad means
of sustainability and social perspective counts on social cohesion, morale and entertainment and
lastly it was analysed that economic aspect reflect costs to the taxpayers, employment
opportunities and future tarde
RECOMMENDATIONS
 Steps to protect the environment- It is being recommended on the part of hosting
countries to account and take various steps that are in regards and in interest of
environment as it is being understood that events will attract huge audience that will form
means of polluting the environment (Seymen,2019). This can be done by spreading
awareness of non usage of plastics and papers and suggesting means off to dispose the
same, encouraging the use of eco- friendly products. This can accounts to forming teams
that use various video campaigns, posters and which helps the hosting countries to
minimise the challenges and maximise the benefits
 Proper implementation of logistics, infrastructure and highly upgraded technology- it is
being recommended to hosting countries to have proper planning of logistics which
ensures the needs of tourist are being meet effectively which can be in terms of
availability of drivers, vehicles to reach to the destination, company should have high end
technology that helps in tracking and monitoring various activities to support smooth
flow of global events such as Olympics. Hosting country needs to account huge
investments in the infrastructure and equipment to ensure that there is no confusion and

misunderstanding being caused which ensure needs of its guest, passengers being meet
effectively (Tafuri, Sinesi, Gallone, 2017).
 It is being lastly recommended having strong and effective teams that are being highly
qualified, well trained and educated which helps in meeting with the challenging
requirements in execution of the events and support various dynamics (Raffish, 2019). It
is being also recommended that steps should be taken to coordinate efforts of team and
programs to facilitate bond between them which will helps in avoiding future conflicts
and which as a result will help in accounting to team work and showcase of skills and
talents of individual to solve various problems and account to developing fun loving
environment that will boost up the creativity of the individual.
