INTRODUCTION
Global event means to organize any event, conference and function in different country and
people participates to show their talent and skills. To increase the image and economic condition
there is need to formulates planning and organise some corporate events where people could
contribute and helps to develop the country position. In other words, global event is a field of
management that deals with conference, festivals and events that create awareness and manage
each functions (Bama, and Tichaawa, 2019). The event management is responsible for creating
best experience possible for guest, stakeholders and viewers that can to develop business
performance. The current report is based on Excel, London that is an exhibition and international
convention centre in the Royal Docks, East London. It hosted number of consumer and trade,
private and public, concerts, conferences and weddings that can influences number of people and
manage functions. The Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland, where it has impacted on
economy of specific country and people. The event manager of such centre would allocate the
work between team members and make efforts to complete task. The report covers range of
global event industry, factors that influenced event industry development of event industry,
techniques, management strategies, level of environment and others.

Examine the diversity of the global events industry, including its structure and how it is
organised, together with the place of different types of events within our society
Event is defined as organising a special event that relates to sports, function, wedding,
brand exhibition and product /services launch by organization for the purpose of creating
awareness and managing higher performance. The classification of event according to size and
scale is defined below:
On the basis of Size
Local and community events – This means many communities focuses on host of
festivals and event to targeting local audience by continuing fun and entertainment. The main
purpose behind hosting local or community event is increase a feeling of belonging and creating
a sense of place (Ghotbi, and Quan, 2019).
Major event – The basis of major event is scale and media interest that is capable of
attracting visitor’s numbers, media coverage and social benefits. The main purpose of organizing

major event is to attracts the large number of people and providing them economic benefits. For
example, TT races and Silverstone that hosted for attracting people.
The different types of events on the basis of forms are as explained:
Hallmark Events – This termed to those events who are so identified with ethics of a
town, region and city by gaining knowledge and awareness. Moreover, it is time duration event
organised for the purpose of enhancing awareness, profitability of tourism destination and
managing activities. The success of such event depends on uniqueness, status, or time period that
create interest. For instance, The Chelsea Flower Show in UK, and Edinburgh International
Festival in Scotland (El Baz, and Kassem, 2020).
Mega Events – This could be explained as events that are large in size and affect whole
economies and reverberate in global media. This event generally organized by following
competitive bidding in a country and managing all functions. For examples, Olympic games,
FIFA World Cup and World Fairs that are organised by investing amount more than 1 million
visits (ASTARI, 2019).
Event based form and content – This event is formed on the basis of content and form.
The form event involves cultural event, including festival and concerts. These events have grown
out insights of people and manage functions.
Business events – This events are organized by companies for the purpose of promoting
their products and improving brand image. This involves exhibitions, conferences, meetings, and
corporate events that can help to develop the understanding and managing all activities.
The structure and component of event industry is:
Event organization: Event staged by organizations such as BBC that hosted Good Food
Shows by using BBC Haymarket Exhibitions or ITMA2003.
Event management company: Some organization are professional group that organise
events on basis of contract and their clients. For example, Tesla contract to manager for
launching new product that would help to increase customer base.
Suppliers: Specialist suppliers are those businesses, focused over growth of large
industries. This provides different products and services to required people (Kampmann, Müller,
Vorsmann, Weise, and Kierfeld, 2021).

Social cultural factors: Al event have direct cultural and social impacts on people as it
increased the entertainment experiences, influencing people to visit country and participate in
economic development. This also influenced event industry such Excel Exhibition Centre
positively on local and global level such as increase national pride (Friendly, 2020).
Demand and motivations for different types of events – This factor is used to according
to demand and motivation where many events are organized to develop understanding of people.
This factor influenced local and national development as it fills expectations and encourage
people to participate in events (Narval, del Rosario, and Baraero-Era, 2019).
Value and contribution of event: – This factor relates to value and contribution that used
by business concern for the purpose of introducing new products and services. When event
organization decided to introduce something new then it organize an event with new techniques
that impacts positively by influencing locally and international level of people.
Employment creation – This refers to government stability and regulations that is given for
the purpose of managing or organizing event successfully. Such factor mainly depends on
country or location where government approval is required to organise events in expectation of
employment generation. For example, The Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland that
helped to improve economy by increasing employment rates for local and global level of people
(Watanabe, and et.al., 2021).

In the event industry there are different factors such as Value and contribution of event,

insights and attaining higher performance (Getz, and Page, 2019).

CEM and process evaluation is effective technique that used by event management to
analysis their performance as they worked to organise a specific event. Motivation, demand,

political, social and cultural are highly recommended factor that used by individual to organise
an event successfully. This plays an important role in society as people comes to know about
programmes, products, services and sports for which event started (Cinar, 2021).
Produce an evaluation that shows the value, impacts and legacy of a range of global events
together with the environment in which they operate
Event is termed to activities touches people expectation, entertain them and create good
relations with people that can help to develop performance. The value, impacts and legacy of
global event with environment defined below:
Value: When different events are organised for the purpose of creating awareness and
entertaining people is considered as global events. For example, The Edinburgh International
Festival in Scotland, FIFA World Cup and Olympics events organised by event industry that
create the value of sports, keep healthy and safe to individual and build confidence to show their
talent (Liu, Wu, and Cao, 2020).
Impacts: The impacts of global event such as Olympics, The Edinburgh International
Festival in Scotland and others operates in different country that impacted positively on economy
as people visited countries where games have been organized and increase hospitality demand,
food & beverages, organise Excel Exhibition Centre and others that helped to operate
programme efficiently and increased people awareness. In case events not operated properly
according to culture it affects negatively such as loss of amenity, manipulation of community,
and social dislocation ( Xuan, Luo, Zhang, Yang, and Yan, 2021).
Legacy: This means money amount or property given to others for using. Such as Excel
Exhibition Centre that can be used by people to organise any event and festival in the form of
consideration. This created the challenges of government approval before launching any event.
This impacts positively by developing global events (Vassiliadis, Skoulas, and Gkarane, 2020).
Environment: To beginning any event there is need to analysis the surrounding

For managing and organising a successfully event it is important to focus over
management strategies which used to operate functions effectively. For instance, Excel
Exhibition Centre is event planner where range of event organised for the purpose of
entertaining, improving knowledge and skills. The Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland
and FIFA World Cup operated in different country that supports development. In this, different
management strategies used by event manager to support responsible event development such as:
Corporate environmental management model: This can be explained as main vehicle
of economic development of particular country where stakeholder pushed to analysis
performance and contribute more. This provides an opportunity of keeping co-modernism and
eco- efficiency environment by organising events successfully. The event manager of Excel
Exhibition Centre used this model to analysis environment, people demand, and brings changes
that helps to influence people and show their wider contribution in responsible and sustainable
global events. For example, The Edinburgh International Festival in Scotland organised every
year where management evaluate the environment and make decision to run their activities that
helps to create employment, keeps happy to people and maintaining culture effectively (Yang,
and Niu, 2020).
Balance scorecard: This is management strategy which used by people to measuring and
analysing organizational performance and introduce changes accordingly. This helps to allocate
the longer task in smaller section so that each function and task would be done effectively. The

work to influence capital’s resident and visitors so that each one takes participation and improve
work efficiency. With the help of this event Excel Exhibition could evaluate its performance and
increase number of participation that supports to manage each function. This mainly used by

Method of identifying and managing community: This planning is connected to
responsible global event that formulates plans and implement to increase performance. This
impacts positively on organizational as well as country situation. It has seen that perception of

In operating and running any event or festival in country there is need to take government
approval that analysis its impacts which might be happen and supports to organize it effectively.
It formulates some regulations that become important to follow and focus on operation. This also
helps to generate employment for community and make it strong in changing environment. Thus,
its make responsible and sustainable global event development.

In the event environment there are different management strategies such as Balance
scorecard, Corporate environmental management model and managing community that used by
even management to analysis the competition level and formulate plans accordingly. In business
environment there are different events industry that uses such strategy to supports responsible
event by managing each function and improving economy. For example, The Edinburgh
International Festival in Scotland operated by event management to allocate all activities in
smaller section. Corporate environmental management model is used by management in this
festival for the purpose managing event successfully. Balance scorecard, is used by management
to analysis the performance and managing a balance between event industries effectively
(Geiger, and Stomper, 2020).

Global event defined as hosting any programme and games that are organised for the
purpose of developing understanding level and entertainment activities. The impact of global
event on environment is positive as it provides the fresh air, food to residents. Whenever some

the activities like pollution and make efforts to solve all environmental issues. The management
is having important role who conduct analysis and formulate effective planning that used to solve
the problems and bring changes accordingly (Dahiya, , Mukhija, and Saxena, 2020).

From the above it can be explained that to hosting any programmes, event and festival at
national level or country is considered global event. This is important for management to
understand the requirement of society and community then introduce event that can help to
develop their knowledge and skills in particular field. Types of event are mega, major, hallmark,
sports, cultural and music event that organised for the purpose of managing special event.
Cultural event is connected with culture and values of particular country origin that increases
entertainment. Growth and emergence of the events, value and contribution of events and
Demand and motivations are those factors which influences future trend of event industry.
Legacy, impact and value of any event used by management to operate an event successfully and
getting positive outcomes. This also helps to maintain sustainability in global environment.
