Introduction
The aim of this paper will be to address and analyse the issues related to global foods
insecurity that are mainly caused by global population and poverty. This paper will help to find
three issues related to the global food insecurity, and details of food security and its connection
with the population growth will be discussed in this paper. Technologies that can reduce hunger
and improve the food security will also be discussed in this paper. The process of usage of the
identified technologies will also be discussed in this paper. The factors that interrupt the flow of
food from the source to the people in the developing country selected, which is Argentina, will
also be evaluated in this paper. At last, a brief conclusion will include the summary of the
outcomes that the United Nations can use to design the future policy decisions.
Background of the Study
Food Insecurity
The term food insecurity refers to that state where the people are deprived of a reliable
access to a particular amount of nutritious and affordable food that is required to live a healthy
life and that will help to sustain in their life. It can be stated in this context that conflict and
drought are the major factors that causes problem in the overall production of the food along
with the distribution process and the access to those foods (Boratyńska & Huseynov, 2017). The
selected developing nation for this paper, which is Argentina, also suffers from food insecurity,
and it can be noted in this context that the total food insecurity in this region increased to 29.3%
in the year 2018 from 21.7% which was in the year 2017 (Feeney & MacClay, 2016). It has been
found by the Social Debt of the Catholic University of Argentina that loss of purchasing the
