INTRODUCTION
Global issue is going to highlight various social, economical, political and environmental
problems which influence the development or success of entire world. Abortion is one of the
major issue that is identified across the globe in which women's is going to end their pregnancy
by destroying fetus or embryo before it may live extrinsic the uterus (Etzel and Balk, 2011).
Thus assignment is all about the effects of abortion on women's life as well as highlight
principles of catholic on this issue. Moreover, methods of tackling this problem and opinions of
several individuals are also outlining in this project for getting aware about viewpoints towards
abortion.
GLOBAL ISSUE IN HEALTH CARE: ABORTION
Abortion is one of the major or sparking issue which is determined across international
boundaries and affects the entire society in various manner. In fact, women's are facing a drastic
problem due to abortion as most of the illiterate people are not accepting them because they
believe that this act is consider as one of the worst activity. Therefore various members are
seeing this issue in different way and having distinct opinions. But as a nurse it is essential to
resolve this problem of females by offering them necessary facilities at the time of need.
Catholic social principles:- It is doctrines which consist of norms on various matters
such as; human dignity and common benefits of overall society (Kentikelenis and et.al., (2011)
In fact, their main objective is to prevent rights of human beings by conducting various
appropriate programmes.
Thus, most of the hospitals have to follow different principles for benefit of children and
society. Therefore Catholic social ethics are explained below- Life of human person- Human life is influenced by the cloning,death penalty,abortion
and other serious attacks and injuries. So people do not do these practices and follow the
principles. There are terrorist attacks on nations which needs to be prevented to save the
life of individuals. Country starts initiating different methods to prevent disputes and
conflicts which helps in giving peaceful life to the public. Thus saves the dignity of
person. Calls to the family- Marriages ,community programmes can be strengthened which helps
people to communicate with each other,solve their problems and can mix with each other.

Poor and marginalized people needs to participate in the society. By initiating these
values it helps in reduction of abortion and other problems.
 Rights and duties- Each person can help each other in difficult times and fulfils the
responsibility towards one another. Every individual have right to life and duties towards
society which takes all people together, thus helps in reducing abortions and other
problems.

people are to be given equal position and status with that of rich. They are treated equally
in which they have to be given fair and justifiable pay which uplifts their position. Dignity of work- Workers are given fair pay according to their work. They do not have
to be given extra work which affects their health. So thus protecting their life and they
can work better (Lang, (2011). So thus through these rights, values and ethics country can
reduce problems f abortion.

 Solidarity- There should not be any discrimination between religion,sex,racism,caste etc.
Through this poor people can be given all rights and are treated equally in the society. So
thus helps in reducing abortion.
 Caring for god creation- People needs to accept and respect things available in the
earth. They need to praise and have faith on god .Thus individuals can follow the
ethical,social and moral ethics which help in curbing abortion, attacks. It results in
protecting the nation and saves life of people.
Hence after considering above principles it is essential to prevent females who are
suffering from abortion and their family is not accepting them due to this major problem. As
most of the people are believing that abortion is a wrongful activity or crime without knowing
the reason behind issue (Howitt and et. al(12).
Viewpoints of Government
Authorities of government built lattice work of abortion law in which regulation,
codifying and limitations are mentioned. When and under what kind of situation or
circumstances for a woman should commit for an abortion. Laws should be made to improve
health of women as it is important to generate the next generation.
RULES FOR ABORTION
Regarding doctor: License is mandatory for physician who will going to conduct an abortion. It
should be done at a specific point of pregnancy and make sure it does not harm health of woman
as well as more than one physician will be there while performing abortion.
Limitations of gestation period: It is based on women's health and mentioned to accept only
when it is necessary to save life or health having specified stage of pregnancy.
Funding to public: medically necessary abortions will be done then government provide them
legal funds to save life of woman facing dangerous situation regarding abortion as in case of
rapes or incest.
Private insurance policies: Some of state government restricts coverage of private insurance
plans and in that several considers it only for woman's life would be endangered. Additionally,
most of states allow easily for purchasing of other abortion plans to save life.
Counselling and parental involvement: It is mandatory to conduct counselling before abortion
to make patient mentally prepare as it reduces complications of abortion because of several
problems like breast cancer, ability of foetus to feel pain or long term health consequences for

woman. Both parents must be involved for all minor and major decisions regarding abortion to
make future life comfortable and healthy.
Waiting periods: To conduct an abortion a woman need to wait for specified period of time,
usually that much time which is necessary for counselling and women will make themselves
mentally strong to get rid off complications and procedure will perfectly performed to get
positive results. Some of states have certain laws that effectively require woman should make
two separate trips to clinic for obtaining procedure.
Viewpoints of Public
Religious affiliation: The public believes their own religion and spiritualism as they built
their moral regarding their moral believes according to rules of their religion. With the reference
of research it id determined that 56% of general population of millennials thought that abortion
should be legal in all or most cases and those who were unaffiliated with any religion is about
69% have an opinion of same. The high proportion of white ''mainline'' Protestants (67%) and
African-American Protestants (66%) felt in same way. Proportion of millennial Catholics who
thought that abortion should be legal in all or most cases was lower: 51% of Latino Catholics.
Only 29% of white evangelical Protestants thought that abortion should be legal.
Political affiliation: According to certain research, it is observed that 79% of
Republicans believed abortion should be legal in only few or no circumstances, whereas only
44% of Democrats thought about same aspect. Besides of these two, middle group of
independents- those who identify themselves as neither Republican nor Democrat. The
proportion of all three who believed that abortion should be illegal in all circumstances were
Republican, 34%; Independents, 18; and Democrats, 14%.
Gender affiliated: It is observed that abortion affects lives of the couple as it have an
impact on both persons so that there is no major issue regarding gender but it definitely considers
females to have a positive response from them to have an abortion for protection of their own
lives and it is mandatory for well being of society also. Hence, there are no major differences in
views between different sexes. Previously, men and women have been divide on abortion issue
as 44% of men and women opposed the U.S. Supreme Court decision making abortions legal up
to three months of pregnancy.

Moreover, most of the individuals are expressing their view or opinions on this crucial
subject which is increasing day by day due to maximization in crime, rape cases and several
shameless activities (King, 2018).
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been summarized that number of issues are emerging at
global level which affects entire world from that abortion is one of the sparking subject that was
influencing women's life. Thus, report is all about principles of catholic and viewpoints of
several people. Additionally, throw lights on methods of dealing with this problem by preventing
rights of females.
