2MY STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
My View of Leadership
From my childhood when I studied in an elementary school I had a passion to become a
global leader. I have always believed that a turn leader is an individual that portrays it as a role
model that influences the team members to develop great things for humanity. I desire to become
a global leader for the reason that has an exceptional quality of self-awareness. I have the
capability of working hard and also have a strong sense of my core values. I believe that being a
global leader I can a step forward and take in charge of any problematic situation. For instance,
in the 2014 summer I met with a sporting accident as I ignored a long chain before me and I fell
on a rocky ground. Such incident made me realize my problem solving skills and developed my
necessary leadership abilities. I also feel I can support my dream of becoming a global leader as I
have an exceptional trait of self motivation. I keep looking for innovative ways in keeping
myself motivated and I also have eagerness to learn new things, revealing new ways and
accomplish various tasks different in sustaining my leadership ability.
Ability to Created Followers
I believe that dears are never born and individuals become leaders as they have the
credibility and people greatly prefer to follow them. My leadership trait is greatly focused on
problem solving approach that is my greatest strength in making people follows me. I identified
such quality in me after I dealt with the accident I faced. Despite the fall, I decided not to stop
and continued to run. After I finished the run I observed that I was severely injured and was
immobilized for more than 6 weeks. After the recovery program I through that we will be able to
start practicing for triathlon without facing any drastic problems. Unfortunately, I could not do
the same for the reason that I was dealing with a lot of pain. Despite that I continued to stay a

very active person with full of energy and life. After beginning my new treatment I found a new
solution to the problem that I was facing. I had undergone the pain killer medication along with
therapy that turned out to be very hopeless and frustrating. This is when I realized a true leader is
born out of pain and I undertook several neurological treatments and maintained a healthy diet
that made my recovery fast and come out of such problematic situation. Such experience made
me develop exceptional problem solving skills necessary for followers to follow my leadership
approaches (Bird and Mendenhall 2016).
Take Risks
After facing the accident I realized that it is important to exercise self command and in
following same we should not bed that concerned with the future that we stifle the present. I have
observed that the way I combated my accident reflects that I don’t give up on my severe situation
easily and I have a tendency to fight against odds that take place in my life. My risk taking
behavior is focused on following resilience though which I can overcome the negative effects of
risk exposure, dealing successfully with the traumatic experience along with negative pathways
that includes high risk. During the recovery process I learned developing positive pathways that
takes place as I took the medical treatment. From analyzing my risk taking behavior I have
gathered that there are three elements those are important in developing resilience taking place
from the traumatic situations I faced in my life. My leadership quality is greatly focused on risk
assessment un which I prefer making a systematic collection of information in recognizing risks
those might be involved in any activity I perform as a leader. In dealing with risks, always follow
a strength based approach with my enhanced self-esteem, the choice possibility along with
connections to resources. On reflection, I felt confident about the fact that I suitably used my
research and knowledge and I could justify my risk decision in case any harm takes place. After
