INTRODUCTION
Global management refers to the all the techniques and practices that consist with
directing and controlling the organisation which operate internationally. This will cover the
forces that shaped the culture in UAE. This report will describe the kind of misunderstanding
arises between visitor and people from UAE.
MAIN BODY
1. Forces that shaped the culture in the UAE and Dubai.
There are many factor that shaped the culture of the UAE and Dubai , as UAE has the
open market economy. In which price of the products and services is being set by the free prices
system. And this market is collaborated with the seven emirates that are the part of the UAE.
And the succession planning is being done by the royal family or president who govern the UAE
and Dubai. This shape the culture of the UAE and Dubai (Desai, Rao & Jabeen, 2018). As in the
Dubai different people from different countries like India, Pakistan and from the united kingdom,
and these different people shape the culture of the Dubai with their different mind set.
2. misunderstanding likely to arise between western based visitors and people from UAE
As in the UAE and specially in the Dubai, only 10 percent of the people are Arabs, and
remaining are the expatriates in which 50%c are Indians, 16% are from Pakistan and largest
group of westerners are from United Kingdom. These differences of the westerners in the UAE
create the misunderstanding of the cultural background differences, clothing, their mind set,
knowledge differences in culture, and also may create misunderstanding in the creating
businesses when they come together in World expo 2020 in their drivers of global development:
sustainability, mobility and opportunities. Different cultural background people think differently
and this may likely to arise misunderstanding between western based visitors and people from
UAE during world expo 2020.
3. advise a Western company that was considering doing business in UAE for the first time
I advise those western based company which is doing business in UAE for the first time,
is that company must have to be recognise the cultural background of the UAE and their people.
This can help the company to identify the choice and demand of the people of the UAE (Sandhu
& Khan, 2018). And also identify the westerners from the different countries as they are the big

part of the UAE population that can drive the business of the company as well. As in the open
market economy is popular so the western company must have to meet first with chief of state
and the head of government or prime minister of the UAE to run their business.
4. cultural differences that exist in terms of doing business together in the future
If in the Dubai cultural similarities in the people can help the business together in future.
As if the similarities among people can create the same thinking and mind set of the people.
Same mind set of the people effectively can make strategies for the business and because of this,
conflicts in the business will not be arise. It will become easy for the business to produce
products ass for the same choice and cultural people and customers. Manager can also easily
understand the market choice and need of the customers of Dubai (Fernando, 2018).
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been concluded that different cultural background may create
the misunderstanding among the western visitors and people of the UAE during expo 2020.
whereas it also been analysed that similarities among people can give various opportunities in
Dubai to grow.
