Introduction
Mental illness is a generalised term that belongs to the group of conditions with
schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders and others. This situation can also
effect the how a person thinks, feels, grabs the meaning, behaves, reacts and interacts with
others and they are furthermore being treated according to the prescribed criteria. Dementia
has severely affected the not only the person with dementia, but also the carers, family
members and friends. The cure of this issue needs to be addressed at the early stage and needs
to be diagnosed with in the time to avoid the post treatment effect.
Dementia
Australia, a country with approximately 400,000 patients of chronic disease Dementia. Of
them about, 55% are women. Around 50% of residents of Australia have this disease
Dementia.
Some precise facts about the disease in respect to Australia are:
Out of 10, one people in Australia have It is assumed that re than 580,000 people will
be a dementia patient by 2028 and will cross million by 2058.
It is a disease with a major sector of the old aged people over 65 years of age and
third as burden.
Dementia is also the second leading cause for the death and majorly of them are
females in Australia.
The symptom of this disease is acknowledged by the families before 03 years of the
actual diagnosis (1).

Dementia in Australia
Dementia in Australia is a chronic disease which relates to the old age sector of the living
people. This disease leads even to death which was 5.8% of the deaths in the males and
11.3% of the total deaths in the females (2). It is a disease which surpassed the heart disease
and became the lead causing deaths in Australia. The estimation of the 2019 data is that the
current figure will rise to 447,117 in Australia. The female sector of the country is highly
prone to the deaths which are likely to be 64.5% of the total group (3). Irrespective of the fact
of currency or monetary basis the occurrence of the disease is still there, the low income
group can be cited as the level of stress to fulfil their basic necessities. High income group
people have stress to achieve the high set targets, to maximise the wealth and all others.
Age group which is highly prone to the diseases are the people from the age of 45 to 65 plus
years of age. Generally the old age group gets this disease with the passage of the time and
ability to get into the mental disease. In spite of being into any particular culture this disease
can occur to any cultural group (4). This disease can be borne by any sort of community, with
the tension, anxiety or any neuron disorder. With the level of stress at work, home, duty any
kind of groups can be hit by the disease (5).
National Disability Insurance Scheme
The vision of this scheme is to make improvement in the quality of the life people are living
with dementia, a mental health issue and their supported networks.
This scheme is based on the underwritten policies-
Patients of Dementia are valued and given respect, which also includes their rights to
dignity, choice, safety and quality of life.
Carers and families are also valued and given supported, as well with the choices.

People are meant to be socially active, which also promotes the wellness.
The services related to the patient’s care and support are well defined which helps in
the treatment of the disease.
An experienced and knowledgeable group of people are required in taking up the
responsibility to provide quality care to the patient.
Collaboration of the people as from society, workplace and other key factors related
are required to cure the patient efficiently.
The prevalence of the issues is all a global aspect and is a common issue now days. The way
it has been approaching is very crucial in nature. The risk factors associated with the issue
are: cardiovascular risk factors, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, high homocysteine level.
Family history and head injury also adds to the risk factors contributing to the dementia at
global level (6). With the new and growing inventions in the industry of the health care and
mental health the doctors are now able to cure dementia. The patients are healing up with the
proper care and interest developed in the hospitals and care units, due to social change in the
world of the social network the people are now taking care of the values and patients in order
to make them feel free and comfortable (2).
Current limitation in context with the Dementia as a disease is that it is an old and currently
growing disease which is booming in the health sector of Australia. The disease is at its
progressive nature which is speedy continuing with the passage of the time. Secondly, the
problems related to the identification of the sickness at an early stage and can help the
practitioner in the ailment of the disease. The patient needs extra care, time and efforts from
the related factors near to the patient. In a specified culture there is a taboo of this disease. No
one really wants to disclose the same in context (7).

Recommendations which can be helpful in curing the disease are the well-equipped, with the
highly qualified and experienced staffs which can take care and give the mental heal up to the
mankind who is fighting to be cured in the hospital bed. The most helpful recommendation
can be the enrichment in the values to care, nourish the bond so that the people can share the
inside secrets and reveal the stress (8). Spending the valuable time with the patient a care is
constraining in diagnosis the disease.
Conclusion
The disease of Dementia in the Australian part of this study concludes that with little care,
extra efforts and more of concern for a patient can cure and heal the disease. The disease is
all related to the neuro part of the brain which is highly prone to the people with high level of
stress and anxiety. Obesity, laziness, blood pressure issues can maintain the feel off left out
and can finally lead to the dementia. It is a curable disease, and has achieved a good cure
statistics at global level.
