Global Networks and Innovation
Short description of the content of the presentation
I gained my understanding of many things related to the global network and innovation. At
the time of making my presentation, I improved my understanding of certain factors like
innovation in Japan and current company networks. I observed that the organization could
use consumer technologies that could be imperative factors for the success of the country. I
also analyzed that innovation level could directly impact on the country condition of the firm,
as higher innovation in the country could lead to sustain higher GDP of the country for long-
term (Kiabod, 2018).
It is evaluated that Japan is the country that tries to make new technology at a lower cost. It
could lead to improving the growth of the country in the least time and cost. I also gained my
understanding of the different sectors that boom in Japan like Automobiles, Consumer
Electronics, and Robotics. It could also lead to improving the economic situation of the
country. (Research Gate. 2019).
I also enhanced my understanding of the innovation in Japan that demonstrates that Toshiba
is a major investor in different sectors like consumer electronics, household equipment's,
social infrastructure structure, and information technology. From this presentation, I analyzed
that the bullet train is the biggest innovative project that is hosted in Japan. The speed
capability of this train is 210 kph as it is one of the imperative tools as compared to others
(EDUCA. 2019).
I also gained my understanding of the Overview of the internationalization strategy of the
DOWA IP Creation CO. Ltd. It leads to gained my understanding of the internalization
approach that could be imperative in making innovation in the assigned work. I improved my
existing knowledge about this organization that could also offer an opportunity to be a part of
this organization (Thrift and Amin, 2017).

A critical review of the presentation
From the review of other presentation, it is found that there are certain elements that could be
necessary for a presentation like the content of the presentation, writing style, a way of
presentation, time, and cost of presentation. But at the same time, it is examined that lack of
team management skills, communication skills decline the opportunity of making an effective
presentation. At the time of review of the presentation, I improved my knowledge about
different factors like teamwork, time management, and writing skills, which could be
effective for reaching a reliable conclusion. I improved such skills by collecting the feedback
of others.
I observed that writing skills could lead to making an impressive report. I improved my
understanding of different methods that could be associated with time management skills,
which leads to me for completing my task on time. It could also be effective in getting
reliable information about the research matter (Yeung and Coe, 2015).
At the same time, I observed that I failed to impressively express my personality in the front
of others that negatively impact on making the presentation. Hence, I improved my
communication skills to effectively express my opinion and view on the front of others.
(Chesbrough and Bogers, 2014).
Metrics/analysis
I gained my understanding of Network analysis techniques and visualization to identify
networks. I also gained my understanding of 2 mode analysis, which could lead to making
innovation in the business. I improved my knowledge about innovative tools and techniques,
which will lead to improving the individual and professional career of an individual. In
addition, it is also examined that innovative tools could promote to perform well in the
organization. I improved my understanding of different academic research journal and books,
which will be effective in getting reliable information towards the research matter (Engel,

2015). This organization is dealing with chemical and material industry, which could lead to
comprehending different sector. It improved my professional skills in the various section that
could be effective for the upcoming factor.
I understood that structural holes are a network that is determined as social network research
as it considers different areas named computer science, sociology, and economics. This
network could also support to the firm for comprehending the difference of origin in social
capital.
I gained my existing awareness about the density and Other Structural Measures for
Complete Networks that support to make effectively innovation the business activity. Core-
Periphery is another imperative network that also leads to making local dense network
structures like cliques, k-clans, weak LS-sets or k-cores, k-clubs, k-cliques, k-
components, k-clique-communities, LS-sets, lambda sets, and k-plexes, strong LS-sets.
I also improved my knowledge of innovation in robotics, an automobile that could lead to an
increase in the growth of the firm and sustain its position in the marketplace. In addition, it is
evaluated that innovation makes an easy process of business and supports to sustain their
position in the marketplace. I improved my understanding of the oval network node structure
that assists to me for getting a reliable outcome in the context of an organizational task.
Moreover, the network analysis could be effective in evaluating a particular path for
innovation. I also understood that the best understanding of the innovation tool could be
effective for me to give my best contribution to the organization where I will be work
(Rootes, 2014.)
I also understood that there are certain organizations named Sandia Corporation, Mitsubishi
chemicals, The Japanese Steel Works, Ltd., Asian Industry CO., And Aoki science Institute
Co. Ltd is the best powerful centralized organization of firms of this network in 2 mode
analysis. I also gained my understanding of a network model in which each organization was

demonstrated by a different color. This model support to the organization for evaluating the
relationship between many factors and make a decision in favor of business (Yeung, 2014).
In addition, it is found that the degree of centrality is determined by different ties number,
which node has. I learned that Nagoya University is famous for the highest degree centrality
among all subsidiaries (Tidd and Bessant, 2014).
It is addressed that the majority of JBS SA is associated with the organization and it is
located in the Netherlands as it has a higher number of subsidiaries. It could be effective for
the company as it supports to make a high degree of centrality. I also found that the second
highest centrality is TOKYO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, which is the highest profit
generating the subsidiaries and has gotten subgroups for itself (Yeung, 2014).
I also improved my understanding of Betweenness centrality that could lead to manage the
information flow. Betweenness is generally interpreted as a potential in managing flow by
considering the networks. I also observed that nodes or companies have high betweenness as
it will be threatened of the network with interruption of business operations and ease the flow
of information. By evaluation of Nagoya University, it is found that it has the highest
Betweenness centrality. It is also stated that the highest betweenness centrality is TOKYO
INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY that is a big achievement of Japan. I also gained my
understanding of the Implication of industry and country environments on the innovation
strategy that could be effective in effectively in operating the business process (Chesbrough
and Bogers, 2014).
It is examined that business segmentation is an imperative factor for operating the business
to reach a favorable conclusion. I also observed that the main reason for business failure is
globalization. Higher use of internet increases could also a negative impact on the overall
business of the firm. It is examined that organization could use money-related improvement
in their business process and making the countries that are normally controlled by importing

the existing level as compared to the association efficiencies and progression that could be
associated with regard things. Moreover, it is examined that the improvements and ability
could be the basis of the firm that supports to high ground (Engel, J.S., 2015).
Potential future strategy
From the overall evaluation, it is found that an organization should use training and
development method to improve skills of the employee towards the application of network. It
would offer an opportunity to the firm for improving their business process. The organization
should also need to evaluate the competitors and comprehend the types of networks that were
used by them and make networks accordingly. It will also lead to the firm for making a
reliable decision in favour of the research matter (Rootes, 2014).
I also gained my depth understanding of the improvement strategy that is associated with the
capital, workforce, and mechanical limit as it should be used by the organization to improve
their business functions. It could also consider different elements of the research and
development acts. The organization should also enhance their understanding of a comparative
division that could demonstrate the progression levels of the firm. It is evaluated that the
progression level affecting factors could improve the framework for prodding with
association ground. The organization should need to gain their understanding of improvement
limits, which could influence customers and suppliers relations (Rootes, 2014).
