REFLECTIVE STATEMENT
The above report has helped me in understanding the complete details about SWOT
analysis. SWOT analysis aids company in getting complete visibility about the present
condition and any threats prevailing in market so that necessary actions can be taken by
company to improve the performance of company. Further, I grasped the understanding of
macro environmental factors that affect company’s position. The PESTLE analysis has been
useful for me because it has helped in identifying the factors that should be considered before
taking major decisions of company.
The Key Performance indicators developed by company has made me realize how
important they are for company. By setting KPIs, company can set goals and targets & can
easily achieve them without much problems. In case of any deviations, remedial actions can
be taken to better off the situation. At the time of recruitment and selection, motivating
employees, etc. KPIs can be beneficial for company.
In addition to this, by working on this module, identifying the target market has
assisted me in examining the correct customers and how to focus on them to make effective
sales. Limiting the customers will help me in better catering their needs to the fullest.
Segmenting the customers on the basis of income, age, gender, occupation helps me focusing
on a particular group rather than the whole market area. Moreover, this report has assisted me
in understanding about sales pipeline and how it can be effectively used in company to
enhance the sales. Sales team can easily identify potential customers and where they stand in
the pipeline i.e. when a prospective customer become a qualified lead and so on. However, it
is not possible to identify the correct leads always because sometimes I have seen that leads
so identified does not always turn to be ‘good’.
Furthermore, I have also learned about the product market matrix, that is, Ansoff
Matrix which is a strategic tool in the hands of management to make strategies for future
development and expansion. By making a report on this topic, I have learned that Ansoff
matrix is very useful can be applied to any company so that sales can be enhanced and profits
can be earned greatly in stipulated time. It is very beneficial for companies having huge
product line with maximum market coverage. This matrix helps in finding more opportunities
to add more products to their product line effortlessly.
Lastly, I have learned from this module is that there are various issues such as
cultural, ethical and global issues that can affect the business in many ways. Sometimes,

company fails to adapt to the global business models or fails to identify new opportunities in
the market. I have grasped that new opportunities should be examined and first mover
advantage should be taken so that company can benefit from it. There are also problems of
ethical dealings such as nepotism and favoritism or sexual harassment at workplace. I have
learned that such practices should be avoided so that company can operate smoothly and
effectively and in ethical manner to avoid any legal formalities.
