Review of article
This discussion is based on the article “Is America Prepared for Great-power
Competition?”. Based on Blankenship and Denison (2019), The administration is a process
that includes various processes including planning, security, strategies, and many others. The
authors have discussed the American strategies for security as well as strategic competition
with Russia and China. The paper has included good sources for describing the security
strategies for Americans. The paper has explained various reasons for the cold war between
the US, China, and Russia (Blankenship and Denison 2019).
The paper has included views of the National Défense Strategy (NDS) and the
National Security Strategy (NSS) regarding American security. In addition, the authors have
provided knowledge of the great-power competition between China, Russia, and the US.
Trump administration has described strategies for managing all the things in a better way
using US resources and capabilities, which is a good strategic end (Blankenship and Denison
2019).
Moreover, the article has described the strategies of the US from internal and external
balancing. The authors have shared the actions and benefits of internal balancing as well as
external balancing. The US has increased military spending, which provides many benefits,
such as modernisation of military technology and the growth of military power as well
(Hough 2013).
In addition, external balancing has included work using international agencies, formal
military, foreign-basing rights, which has increased power-projection capabilities, legitimacy,
and cooperative partners. Moreover, internal balancing has influenced domestic capacity as
well. The authors have used proper figures and statistics to describe the role of president in
the Cold War for achieving power worldwide through various security approaches (Hough
2013).
The US movement has provided many benefits to the military services as well as
education, innovation, infrastructure, debt reduction. However, incising tax is another
approach to increase revenue as well. In addition, the administration has pushed different
things to generate revenue for the government as well, such as tax cuts (Glaser, Preble and
Thrall 2019). Moreover, external balancing has attached to international capacity. Moreover,
the US has focused on the great-power competition, which is limited to internal constraints.

Besides, the US has considered two main things for great-power competition, which are
military and political.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has included various processes
that are important for managing different things including GDP. China has accounted for
nearly 20 % of GDP for the average Asian country according to the data of the year 2014
(Blankenship and Denison 2019).
Moreover, the authors have included a high level of research to demonstrate the great-
power completion between China, Russia, and the US. Moreover, in addition, the UK,
Germany, France, and NATO members are more concerned with critical issues, which are
immigration, the Islamic State (ISIS), and terrorism (Glaser, Preble and Thrall 2019).
In addition, there are many processes in the administration, which are helpful in
international trends, political, and economic over the past few decades. It is a basic process to
follow all the things. Moreover, strategic competition among great powers. US military
action has been even more ubiquitous. It is necessary for managing peace and the completion
of great-power. Moreover, the cold war is a huge risk in the front of the whole world, as
many countries have suffered from the Cold War, as it has created a critical situation in front
of the many countries, which are connected with China and Russia as well (Glaser, Preble
and Thrall 2019).
However, China has not given any statement to destroy the US. Thus, it is the best
way to continue to believe in China’s best strategy to improve the global system. In addition,
the US government has taken proper actions to manage its global security. The US has
created a different image in the world with its power as well. However, China has supported
the global system. In addition, the US has supported Taiwan, which has faced potential
threats from China as well (Glaser, Preble and Thrall 2019).
In addition, the world has faced the reaction of Trump. It will cause another shift,
which in the wrong way. Most of the countries have based on these three-great powers, which
are China, Russia, and the US. Moreover, international institutes have provided support for
managing internal security, but it is not legal and ethical to make an impact on the others
(Hough 2013). In addition, the authors have included many aspects, which are in favor of
Trump as well as the opposite of the US as well.

The paper has shown different aspects of the basic processes. However, the paper has
provided good sources of statics and theories as well. The international institutes have used
peace and legal approaches to reduce the chances of the Cold War (Hough 2013). Moreover,
basic processes can be used for managing all the processes in a better way. Besides, the US
has spent a large amount on the defines systems and military, which is a good way to manage
global security as well. It has supported many other countries, which has required potential
support for threats. Moreover, Trump has applied different approaches for managing all the
processes (Tow 2019).
Furthermore, the US government has considered all the facts and conditions for self-
defense, which is the right of a country as well. Moreover, the paper has described various
factors, which are important for global security including the US approach for great-power
completion. In addition, the US government has followed Trump’s administration approach,
which has created a fear in the mind of other powers (Hough 2013).
According to Blankenship and Denison (2019), America is running for great-power
completion, which is not good for the other powers as well as related countries. In addition,
the Trump administration approach has affected different countries, which are important for
global security. Based on the surreys, the US military has violated international rules and
regulations for some specific conditions. There are some specific issues and challenges have
faced by the US using a different types of administrative approaches (Glaser, Preble and
Thrall 2019).
In conclusion, I have agreed on global security, but with the proper restriction, which
is better for all the countries. Besides, great-power completion is not necessary, which can be
a reason for the Cold War.
