INTRODUCTION
Global tourism is travelling of humans across the national edge or staying outside from
the usual environment. Tourism industry is the worlds biggest industry with an economic
contribution of more than 7.7 trillion. Now a days Economy is developing high possibilities or
opportunities for the global industry that allow people to go worldwide destinations easily. This
development brings economic hike in the nation. With the assistance of global tourism,
economic system of the country increases which influences overall living standards of people
living in the nation (Cornelissen, 2017). In this report, the current trends and scope of global
tourism are going to be discussed in an effective manner. In addition to this, reasons related to
the development of tourism is explain. Later, it explain various roles and responsibilities of
companies that is associated with the growth of global tourism. In the end the challenges, threats
and issues faced by the global industry which influence future growth is described in detail. This
will assist in identifying available threats and issues within stipulated time period.

because of new destinations , new technologies and so on. Due to changing in the economy,
travellers preferences, expectations and behaviour towards the global industry is changed on
continuous basis. It is identified that Online travel and Solo travellers are the two current trends
in the global industry. Along with this, it has also been analysed that tourism industry is one of
the fastest growing and leading industry which influence the economic system of the country in a
positive manner. These trends will be discussed in detail with the help of statistical graph:
Worldwide online travel: In today's competitive world most of the people prefer to
finalise their trips via online channels. It allow customers to save their time and book tickets in
an appropriate and faster manner. There are many apps that help customers to planned their trip
in effective manner. Online trends help tourism industry in order to increase their profitability
and sales and attract large number of customers towards their organisation (Ezeuduji, 2015). The
graph below describe the information about the growth of worldwide online travel:

From the above graph stated picture it is analyse that entry of online channels for
booking changed the growth scenario of tourism industry. It is examined that the performance in
the year 2005 is at the point of 100 where as it increases from the year 2006 to 2008 but later
than decreases in the year 2009. On the other hand, it has been analysed that it increases in the
year 2010 and then continuously raise till 2016. This will assist in enhancing the brand image of
the travel and travel industry in an effective manner.
Solo traveller: Solo travellers are those who choose to go on their favourite destinations

the estimated number of traveller within these countries. With the help of above stated data, it
can easily be define as there are large number of travellers which shows that total number of
revenue increases raise on continuous basis which influence the economic system of the country
(Higham, 2018.). There are some key characteristics which make their contribution in order to
influence travellers are as follows:-
Infrastructure: It is very essential for tourism industry to provide high quality services
to their customers with the help of effective infrastructure. They can easily operate its business
functions in an effective manner by providing them services. Along with this, if a country
provide high quality infrastructure to their customers they will be able to attract large number of
travellers towards their organisation. Apart from this, they feel safe, secure and comfortable
which increases the overall profitability of the tourism industry in an effective manner. As
compare to other countries it has been said that infrastructure of Italy is quite attractive and well
structured which will assist them in order to grab attention of large number of individuals. Along

in a positive manner. Attractive infrastructure of Italy involves railways, national roads, airport,
seaports and many more helps in making the travellers very comfortable and safe. This as a
result assist in improving the experience of customers which will increase the profitability of the

these countries increases the level of travel and tourism which later gain immense growth. Some
of the most essential reasons behind the development and growth are going to be discussed as
follows:
Natural aura of destination & associated cultural insights: It has been analysed that
Natural beauty as well as aura of a place is considered as one of the most essential element which
assist in influencing mind-set of tourists. Individuals attract towards these places help in
enhancing the overall profitability and revenue system. In this context, it has been said that Italy
