Global tourism initiated by the phenomenon Globalisation, which has made the tourism a leisure
activity. In other words, it can be stated that with the dawn of globalisation the growth of tourism
has expanded in a considerable way. As the recent study, the travel and tourism industry is
considered one of the largest and rapidly growing sectors that are one of the major contributors
to the global economy. According to World Tourism Organisation, Modern tourism is related to
the development and accommodates a number of small and new destinations. Hence, this
report shall explore the parameters of nature and trends of global tourism in relation to the
tourist consulting organisation Titan Travel based in UK.

The travel and tourism industry is regarded to contribute in several ways to the global economy.
Over the past few decades, the tourism industry has experienced consistent growth and
intensive diversification, which resulted it become the fastest growing global economic sector.
According to the World Tourism Organisation, the globalisation resulted in origination of modern
tourism and it in turn resulted in the emergence of new destinations. These dimensions have
resulted in the turning tourism industry as one of the significant socio-economic drivers of
progress. In other words, the nature of tourism industry is diverse and is one of main the income
sources for several developing nations. It can be stated that the tourism on the global scale
provides many benefits to the developing countries such as the economic as well as
employment opportunities (unwto.org. 2019). Thus, it can be pointed out that the tourism
industry expansion on the global level has resulted due to globalisation, and there are several
trends of the tourism industry on the global scale. For instance, the organisation Titan Travel is
able to cater to different travel preferences of customers, which ranges from several foreign
destinations. The organisation is able to provide information about these places through
technological assistance and the customers are able to sustain the new destination because of
globalisation.

the year 2017, which is approximately 1323 million. UNWTO has foreseen the growth of the
international tourists from 4 per cent to 5 per cent in the year 2018 (www.statista.com. 2019).
The number of European tourists is 670.6 million approximately and the expected worth of
Britain’s tourism industry is £257 billion by the year 2025 (www.statista.com. 2019). The major
trends of tourism on the global scale are as follows:
Niche tourism
It is one of growing trends in tourism industry, which refers to the special tourism. Niche Tourism
focuses on any specific concepts or area. Further, it must be noted that the niche tourism
selects the destination in accordance to the particular interests of the customers. According to
the recent study on the emerging trends in the tourism industry, Niche tourism depends on the
different types of preference of the tourists such as the sports or cultural or dark tourism (Wu et
al., 2016). Thus, niche tourism growth is seen as the response to the increasing number of
tourist demanding special tourism products or services.

Another emerging trend in the tourism industry, wherein the tourism products can be consumed
in responsible way. It refers to the method of eliminating the negative impacts of social,
economic, and environmental conditions (Mihalic, 2016). Further, the responsible tourism

the host communities.

infrastructure and cultural atmosphere. The infrastructure of the tourist receiving areas
must be such that it able to cater to the needs of the tourists. The infrastructure includes
accommodation, entertainment and recreational facilities, transportation facilities, and
others (Leung et al., 2018). Thus, if the tourist receiving areas are able to provide these
facilities in an appropriate way then the tourists shall be quite satisfied with the services.

visiting different places is the main thing to be taken into consideration. In the following segment
some of the destinations are going to be taken into consideration which has a major impact on
the business development process. It is seen that tourism was present in the ancient history and
now it has taken a new outlook.
Tourism receiving countries
Brazil- the key factors of Brazil, which is intriguing tourism, is associated with the ecotourism,
rainforests and many others. Many tourists go to Brazil for the famous Rio Carnival. It is one of
the grandest events in the world and focus of the even this to generate public gathering from
different parts of the world to have major economic development (Guimarães and Silva, 2016).
Apart from that in recent years it is seen that Brazil has hosted Olympics, which is a major event
in the world and that, enhanced the tourist visiting percentage drastically.

more tourists and taking it into consideration makes the progress of tourism more justified.

Egypt- It is one of the most important places regarding knowledge gaining. Egypt has its own
history and many explorers, casual tourists, students and others visit the place. The most of the

the tourists, as it influences of the rate of accommodation and other expenditures related to the
destination. The major impact is on the demand and supply chain in the tourism industry
(Moutinho and Vargas-Sanchez, 2018). For instance, during inflation the demand of tourism
decreases, as the nations affected by high rate of inflation shall have the hikes in prices and it
shall affect the consumer choices.

Political climate of the tourist destination is known to affect the generating areas in several
