To overcome the challenges that organization faces in work design in a global environment, Human Resource department
of the organization should take various steps. Manager should give priority to the payment of wages to the employees not
only to the work. To overcome the challenges of work design, Human Resource department should follow all the rules
and regulations of the government in respect of wages and other benefits of the workers. Further, human resource
management contributes to resolve the changes in work design with the help of alternative working pattern such as
working half day, working alternate seasons etc. Different patterns of work design will help the organization to avoid the
problem of maternity leaves. It will also help to improve the productivity and performance of workers. It also helps to retain
loyal employees for long period. Work design is the core function of Human Resource Management. Further, Manager
should perform task revision because it helps to improve performance of staff.

It has been concluded from the Article that Globalization has resulted in lot of changes
in the nature of work. The Article also described the term Post-industrialism and Post
Fordism. Now, organisation has changed heir focus from developing products to
producing services. Due to globalization, the work of routine employees has been taken
over by skilled workers. Moreover, it has also changed the method of employment.
Nike is using the concept that there is no value in developing products any more and
value is created through innovation, careful research etc. Work of employees is
consisted of self-denial, obedience etc.
