P 4 Small scale research information to demonstrate data collection and analysis
Research philosophy: It is the phenomenon of gathering and analysis information in
research topic. It helps the researcher in deriving ways of managing systemic data collection and
analysis during investigation. Research philosophy is of different types like, realism, positivism,
interpretivism, etc, where interpretivism research is able to analyses topic which is of human
interest. Further, Realism philosophy of research relies on the idea of Independence reality from
the human mind (Research Philosophy, 2018). However, in positivism scholar is able to analyze
naturalist of topic on the basis of properties and nature. Therefore, this study is supported by
interpretivism philosophy where student will precise economic, cultural and ethical impact of
globalization on Aldi, the retailer of United Kingdom.
Research approach: It is planned procedure of conducting investigation which enables
smooth integration of different facts and objectives of study. There are generally two type’s
approaches that are inductive and deductive where inductive approach is based on model,
theories and evidence. Deductive is based on hypothesis which helps in comparison of two
dependent and independent variables. Thus, this investigation is based on inductive approach
where the data will be analysed in with the help of evidence and different theories related to
research topic.
Sampling: It is classification of applicable source to choose appropriate different sample
or investigation. There are various type of method of sampling like, cluster, probable, stratified,
random, etc. (Hanvey, 2018). Thus, this study will be based on random sampling methods as it
reduces the chances of getting biased outcomes. Thus, the sample of study is 20 employees of
Aldi from different departments.
Data collection: It is the process of collecting information on research aim which is to
determine positive cultural economic and moral consequence of globalization on Aldi. Data
collection is don tin two ways like, primary and secondary where primary is based on
information collected by authors in past and is collected via governmental publication, books,
articles, journals, blogs, etc. (Hanvey, 2018) Apparently primary data collection is supported by
current information which is gathered by student with the motive of answering objectives of

Data analysis: Analysing collected information is most critical part of stud because in
this it is necessary for the investigator to secure validity and reliability of gathered information.
Two ways of analysing information that is qualitative and quantitative where quantitative is
numerical and quantitative analysis of collected information. It is helps in outlining significance
of research variables (Coolican, 2017). Further, qualitative analysis is descriptive in form and is
interpretation of accumulated content. Thus, in this research researcher implemented use of
qualitative analysis where collected information is analyzed with the help of thematic analysis
which is the systematic way of critically outlining views of all respondents.
