To analyse the opportunities for automotive industry due to globalisation.
Rationale of the research :
Main reason about choosing this topic is to investigate the i impact of globalisation on the
automotive industry and the major challenges it brings. (Cavusgil and et. al., 2014). It is a
multinational organisation that help in development of economy, improving living standard of
people etc. Along with this, such type of research will also support a researcher by enhancing its
literature review skill, data analysis and interpretation skill. Thus, it is important study for
academic and practical manner. As it will provide accurate and appropriate information about the
impact of globalisation and challenges faced by company.
CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW
A literature review introduces as a systematic, reproducible and explicit method for
evaluating, identifying and synthesizing the actual body of recorded and completed work
produced by investigators, practitioners and scholars (Crane and Matten, 2016). There are
different purpose of literature review such as: it will help a researcher to identify gaps in
research, relationship of work, area of prior scholarship etc. Therefore, in this section all research
objectives and questions will be addressed in proper and systematic manner.
The influence of globalisation on the functions of the automotive industry.
Automotive industry, all those business and activities participated in the manufacture of
motor vehicles, covering most elements, such as bodies and engines, but excluding tires, fuel and

scale, and research and development. It will help an organisation by increasing supply chain
capabilities, meeting customer demand, managing and reducing costs, ensuring security in
supply etc.
Human resource department: Impact of globalisation on human resource development
and management is important. Human resource department of Jaguar Land Rover must adopt
their practices and thinking to include foreign regulations, cultural difference and technological
development. All these will help an enterprise to improve their success and growth at
international level.
Marketing department: Globalization leads to maximised competition which is mainly
related to product and service cost, technological adaptation, target market, quick response,
speedy production by organisation etc. When Jaguar Land Rover produces with minimum cost
and sells cheaper, it is capable to enhance its market share.
The challenges faced by automotive companies during the globalisation era.
According to Dunning, (2014), there are number of challenges which is required to be
faced by any of the company which is in the phase of globalisation. The first problem that they
faces is realted with the market policies because it is found that every country uses different
types of policies for promoting their business so that additional benefits can be taken. Second
one is tht, at present there is tough competition in the market because there are number of
organisation which is dealing in the field of automotive so Automotive Industry must know that
how they have to deal with those situations.
It is said that when ever any of the organisation is entering into new market they must
find the manpower as it is one of the must important sources for conducting day to day activity
so that it is also one of the challenge that need to be faced by Automotive Industry. Even there is
the problem of language because every nation have different language which is very difficult
task to deal so it one of the harder job for organisation to be familiar so that more number of
customer can be connected with the company. In addition, different rules and regulation are also
required to be followed so it will be important for organisation to understand that how they read
and apply the law so that working condition can be made more understandable.

CHAPTER 3: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology refers as an essential process applied by researcher to collect
accurate information about the topic. In this chapter, different methods will be included which
are determine as under with proper justification:
Research approach: It introduces as an effective procedure and plan that consists of the different
steps of broad assumptions. In this, data collection, analysis and interpretation are consider main
steps which will help a researcher to collect accurate data about the topic (Dunning, 2014). In
order to collect data, research approach mainly divided into two parts such as qualitative and
quantitative. In case of qualitative approach, it is a method of inquiry that creates better
understanding on social science and human, to analyse the way people think or feel. On the other
side, there is quantitative approach, it is applied to create numerical information and hard facts or
figures, by employing mathematical, logical and statistical techniques.
Justification: Those type of research approach are essential but according to the study,
qualitative research approach is more suitable. As in this, all participants are capable to give data
or information in their own words and way. Apart from this, quantitative approach is more
difficult to determine the reliability and validity of linguistic data. Thus, qualitative approach

Limitation of Research: Research limitation is divided into two parts such as possible
methodological limitation and possible limitation of the researcher. Under methodological
limitation, sample size, lack of available and reliable information, lack of prior research studies
on the topic, self-reported data etc. On the other hand, limitation of the researcher are mainly
related with access of data, longitudinal effects, cultural and other kind of bias, fluency in
language. Thus, those type of limitations will be faced by researcher will conducting primary and
secondary research about the topic. There are some limitation which is faced by researcher while
completing each activities or tasks of dissertation. Formulation of research aims and objectives,
implementation of data collection methods i.e. primary and secondary, selection of sample size,
lack of previous studies in the research area, time etc. All these are major limitation which will
impact on researcher while completing research in accurate and systematic manner.
Ethical consideration: There are some research ethics principles that were applied by
researcher such as informed consent, confidentiality and anonymity. All these principles should
be followed by researcher which will help them in completion of research activities
systematically and ethically.
Timeline of research activities
Time introduces as a more essential and useful resource used by each organisation or
researcher to identify accurate time period for completion of research activities. For this, Gantt
Chart is consider as a type of bar chart used by researcher to illustrates a project schedule. This
type of chart show the dependency connection between activities and actual schedule status. It
gives a graphical illustration of a schedule that supports an investigator to plan, coordinate and
track particular activities in a project (Stromquist and Monkman, 2014). It is commonly applied
in project management which will help a researcher to complete project within given time
period. It is one of the most useful and popular ways of displaying tasks or activities against
time.
