INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND TO THE RESEARCH
Globalisation is the effective process of integration and interaction among governments,
companies and people worldwide. In addition, it is the spread of technology, product, jobs and
information across national cultures and borders (Auer, Borio and Filardo, 2017). For this project
chosen organisation is BT Group plc, it is a British multinational telecommunications company in
London, United Kingdom. It was founded in 1969 by Jan du Plessis, Philip Jansen. Company
specialise in selling of mobile telephony, fixed-line telephony, digital television, telecommunications
equipments etc. Along with this, globalisation is as biggest concept for multinational organisation
because it will support them in improving reputation of company internationally. Globalisation is also
important and significant for BT Group plc by increase its business success and growth effectively.

According to the Philip Piletic, globalisation is essential and significant process for
multinational organisation because it will help them in driving business success in different
ways such as marketing equalization, market expansion and global stability. It is highly influence
on international business by providing opportunities regarding to increase customer base,
maximise sales by expanding operations and functions at emerging market. It will further help
them in accomplishing competitive advantages and improving brand awareness at global level.
