INTRODUCTION
Globalisation is the process in which a firm expand its business operations to another
country for enhancing their share in the market as well as to increase the number of their existing
customers. Globalisation is also an essential aspect for businesses to increase their brand image
at international level. There are also several factors which can effect the globalisation process
such as cost, time, resources etc. The taken firm in this report is Jaguar which is a premium
motor vehicle manufacturer in having headquarter in England. This report will discuss the
positive impact of globalisation in ethical, cultural and economic aspects. Also this report will
explain the interrelation between various business departments. Further aims and objectives will
be developed along with the cost, scope, time, quality, communication, risk and resources which
can impact the globalisation process. Gantt chart, WBS, research methodologies etc. will be
discussed further along with the interpretation of the questionnaire and a valid recommendation
will be given to the firm in the end of report.
Positive impact of Globalisation
Economic impact: Globalisation increases the competition among the local players of the
economy due to which they perform their operations for generating higher revenue and
profitability (Baylis, Smith and Owens, 2017). Due to this increased competition, new
opportunities employment, payment of taxes to the government etc. takes place in the country in
which the business is operating. This also positively impact the living standard of the people
which will directly support the development and growth of the economy (Baylis, Smith, and
Owens, 2017).
Cultural impact: Every country has their own variety of cultures which must be
recognised by the firms when expanding its business operations. This can be done with the help
of the workforce who has enough knowledge regarding the cultural differences. Through this
knowledge, firm can provide their products according to the needs and requirements of the
customers. This is helpful in successful expansion of the firm (Boserup, Tan and Toulmin,
2013).
Ethical impact: Various rules, values and beliefs are made by the government which
must be followed by the firms in order to perform their activities in an ethical manner. When the
ethical standards are met by the organisation, then the brand image and reputation of the firm can

increase in market (Boserup, Tan and Toulmin, 2013). Therefore, the organisations needs to
perform their different business functions and operations in ethical way .
Background of the research
Jaguar is a luxurious vehicle brand of the firm Jaguar Land Rover, which is a
international car producer having headquarter in Coventry, England. Jaguar Cars produced their
own cars until the merger with the Land Rover on 1 January 2013. The company was listed on
the London Stock Exchange in the year 1984 and remain a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index till
1990 when the company was acquired by Ford motors (Chen and Tsou, 2012). This firm is
successful in the market as it is providing their products i.e. cars at affordable prices when
compared to features which are highly expensive in competitor's cars. Also the cars are in
premium range so features are also given accordingly. The firm has taken decision to expand
their business operations in other countries for attaining high growth and market share. But the
management of the firm needs to analyse the market condition and the impact of globalisation on
the business functions. The impact on business functions is given below:
Operations: When expanding the business, Jaguar needs to deal with various type of
clients and also the firm needs to make them loyal towards the brand by fulfilling their
requirements and demands. The firm needs support from their production departments as this
department deals with the clients on regular basis in an effective manner (Chen and Tsou, 2012).
Marketing: For the success of business in new country, Jaguar needs effective marketing
department whose function is to make people aware regarding the brand and its provided
products. The marketing department can effect the decision of the people and can attract them
towards purchasing the products of the firm by using the unique features and design of their cars.
Human resource: HR department is responsible for recruiting talented and skilled
individuals who can perform their work with the required efficiency for longer duration. The HR
department of the Jaguar needs to recruit candidates who understand the culture and
geographical backgrounds of the country. Through these newly recruits, company can effectively
provide their products and services according to the demand and needs of customers for fulfilling
them in an effective manner (Doherty, Ashurst and Peppard, 2012).
Accounting: Firms needs huge amount of funding for expanding the operations of the
business. The finance department is responsible for maintaining the records of the money and
transactions which occurred during the expansion. This transaction management is helpful for

Cost Cost is very essential for the smooth functioning of the
firm in expansion process. Jaguar cars needs to determine
the cost required for expansion. This cost covers the
resources cost, installation charges, machinery cost,
labour cost etc. Jaguar cars has estimated a cost of 600,00
pound for the expansion process. This cost will be used
for purchasing the resources, equipments, machinery etc.
Also market research needs to be conducted for
determining the trends of the market for which the
researcher has estimated a cost of 50000 pound for
conducting the research in an optimum manner
(Falguera,Aliguer and Falguera, 2012).

Scope Globalisation is the process of expansion which generate
new employment opportunities and revenue for the firm
in future. The scope for Jaguar cars is very wide due to
dealing with people from various nations and Due to
engaging in auto-mobile, firm needs to face high
competition from their rivals, which will increase the
revenue and profit of the firm. The scope of the research
is also very wide as it helps in determining the trends of

and Frishammar, 2012). This research provides the
necessary knowledge of the customers to the firm so that
the firm can produce the products based on their needs.

Research Methodology and Data collection
Research Methodology: It is the process which is used for evaluating and identifying the
data and information of the research topic which enable the researcher for drawing a valid and
reliable conclusion in the end (Inauen and Schenker-Wicki, 2011). In this research, two types of
analysis methods are taken which are theoretical and systematic methods for carrying out the
research effectively (Sekaran and Bougie, 2016).
Data collection: The data collection in this report is taken from both primary and
secondary data collection. Primary data method is reliable to use but it takes more time and
money. Whereas the secondary data collection method is less credible to use but takes less time
