Research Plan
Project Title “To analyse the positive impact of globalisation in
economic, cultural, and ethical manner on different
business functions within an organisation” A case
study on Jaguar.
Project Plan
Company Name: Jaguar
Project management plan is a formal or approved
document which helps organisation to manage and
control their activities. It is very essential to prepare a
development plan which includes each important
information related to development plan. As it
provides data related to estimated cost, time, risk,
scope etc. associated to the project. In case of Jaguar,
it will help in effective and efficient decision making
(Smith, Binns and Tushman , 2010). It will also help

amount of £150 million for providing better services
and facilities. (Den Hertog, Van der Aa and De Jong,
2010).
Scope It identifies the opportunities associated with project in
future or long term. As it will help Jaguar in enhancing
their business or operational activities by taking
advantage of available opportunities. By analysing
impact of different aspects of globalization, company
will enable to provide better services to its consumers.
With globalisation, most of the companies has gained
the opportunities of expanding its business in other
parts of the world where they have not expanded yet or
Jaguar can think of providing facilities other than
transport.
Time It is very essential element of ever project, as it
identifies the total time for performing each and every
activity of project. In the process of globalisation and
its implementation will take almost 1 year. In case of
Jaguar, this project will take 46 days for finishing all
tasks and this will also help in completing activities in
given time frame.
Quality In order to make research more appropriate it is
important that entire process is being done in an
effective manner. Therefore, with the help of this
research, investigator will get to know about what kind
of services and facilities company is providing .
Whether it is fulfilling all the demands and
requirements of its customers. (Smith, 2011).
Communication Communication plays very essential role while

development or implementation of project in a
successful manner. Communicating whole plan with
staff helps in identifying all associated pros and cons
which can impact the success of actual implementation
of plan. Better communication encourages exchange
of views and ideas with each other. So effective
communication and coordination leads to
accomplishment of project in better way (Gebauer,
Edvardsson and Bjurko, 2010). For example:
researcher can use effective communication for
interacting with respondents in order to collect data
and information. Therefore, based on Jaguar company
will be able to communicate with different companies
to implement better policies according to the
respective nations.
Risk Although globalisation is providing benefits to the
companies but it has some risk as well because this
can be make a nation richer or developed or it can
make it poorer. Jaguar can find difficulty in expanding
its business because of financial changes but this
might not be applicable for Jaguar as it is big company
and expanding its business cannot be a big deal for
them. Whereas in relation with the researcher,
interacting with respondents can be one major risk
because there might be a possibility that respondents
don’t agree to respond to their questions. As a result,
this can put an impact on collecting appropriate data
and information for evaluating a valid conclusion.
(Eckerson, 2010).
Resources For making research more appropriate it is crucial that
researcher make optimum use of resources such as

funds, labour force etc., other than this, they can make
use of both tangible and intangible resources. On the
other hand, in relation with globalisation, company
can use latest tools and technologies so that better
outcomes can be evaluated and gained as well.
Type of Research
Primary and Secondary
Quality and Quantity
When it comes to conduct a report, it is vital for
investigator to take in consideration of research
methodology. Because this could help in organising,
realising and interpreting the data more appropriately.
there are two major concepts named as qualitative and
quantitative are being used by investigator for
conducting their research, apart from this research
methodology is also includes investigating design,
data analysis and more (Jones and Lubinski, 2012).
Qualitative research methodologies: qualitative
research methodology of the concept can be used by
investigator when it comes to collect the data which is
related to observation of perception of people. In
present scenario, researchers have used this type of
research because, positive impact of globalisation is
needed to be carried out in this investigation for Jaguar
(Kankaanranta and Planken, 2010).
Quantitative research methodologies: this kind of
research method pulls out information of the data with
the help of mathematical formulas for statistical
approaches. Research with using this approach could
lead to carry out authentic result based on facts and
figures. By implementing this research organization
can able to collect large data quickly. By using this
research company can allow themselves to enhance
their result. This research provides conclusive answer

to research questions (Crane and Matten, 2016). These
methods can be use by organizations in questionnaires,
interviews, observations and records. This research is
an effective tool to identify trustworthy solution to any
problem by using numerical data (Lai and Ong, 2010).
In addition to above methods, researches can
use following two types of techniques also to gather
relevant information:
Primary data collection method: this is one of the
basic but most important kind of a collection method
of information that could be used by researcher when
it comes to draw authentic information or the data.
This is beneficial because the investigation which is
being done by researcher all the information which has
been carried out by investigator stays authentic in
nature. With help of this research organizations can
have fresh and unused information that will help them
to determine effective results. In present investigation
researchers have used this method and have chosen
questionnaire approach to get the information from
stakeholders of the company (Lin and Chen, 2012).
Secondary data collection method: Under this kind of
research collecting data, researcher mainly used books
magazines and other published sources which has been
done by authors, scholars, and different Publishers.
This research is conducted from data that already
exists. This research can benefit organizations in so
many ways as it is cost and time effective.

WBS, helps in sub structuring overall activities of the project in different parts so that it
can be managed easily. With the help of this investigative, could easily reach to conclusion in
set time frame.
Basic Gantt Chart
Gantt Chart is used to frame all such fragmented activities in proper time-allocation
(Incelli, 2013). Thus, both techniques help in conducting the research in more appropriate
manner in given time interval.

Questionnaire
It is a set of various of questions which have been prepared by investigator for
understanding point of view of respondents in order to find out true outcome for research.
