Research onion framework
Research onion framework is an essential mode used by researcher to
identify best method and approach for collecting accurate data about the
study. In this framework , inner and outer layer will be included which
will assist a researcher to collect accurate data about the impact of
globalisation on market performance and success of an organisation.
Some important and essential layers will be determined as under:
Qualitative and quantitative research: For collecting accurate and proper
information about the importance of globalisation, there are basically two
types of research which is qualitative and quantitative. The current study
is mainly based on qualitative researcher because it provide quality and
reliable information about the topic. On the other hand, quantitative
research is not appropriate for this project because it is totally based on
numbers and facts.
Research approach: Deductive and inductive are consider two types of
research approach used by researcher to analysis information or data
about the topic. According to current study, inductive approach will be
applied because it will help a researcher by providing valid data about the
topic. On the other side, deductive approach is not essential and suitable
for identifying impact of globalisation because it require in-depth
information about the topic.
Data Collection: For accumulating data about the importance of
globalisation on market performance and success of Waitrose, there are
two types of data collection methods such as primary and secondary. For
accumulating primary information, questionnaire will be applied. As it will
help an investigator to gather reliable and proper information about the
study. On the other hand, for collecting secondary information,
magazines, journals, books and publication researcher relevant to the
