Ukpere and Slabbert have asserted that due to various alterations that occurred in the
economic systems, the Globalisation came into force which changed the different issues
relted to humans and mankind to a great extent. Due to this, it was seen that capitalist
economy gained more focus and popularity at that time so that more privatisation can be
welcomed in countries. The development phase took place in countries like USA, UK and
also other nations due to which several other countries also accepted the belief and favoured
for neo-liberal capitalism. Here, the ideas related to socialism were completely changed and
considered as dead. As per Shinar, ' Globalisation is a process in which various countries
involve themselves exchanging business to expand their growth and establish more welfare in
country.' However, it is evident that due to globalisation, the socialism is getting replaced by
capitalism due to which the country is losing its own authority. Due to this, welfare
programmes are not proving of much helpful and there is a large reduction in such
programmes and activities. The problems related to unemployment is also increasing. Due to
this the society is bearing high losses as without proper employment, families have become
dependent on various welfare programmes and activities by government so that they can live
their life properly. Therefore, here it can be summarised that Globalisation has been a topic of
debate where some consider it right for development of economy while others does not
favour it. The above cited critical reflection makes it clear with better perspectives.
